Abrams To Build Victorian Robot

J.J. Abrams' Bad Robot has bought the rights to BOILERPLATE: HISTORY’S MECHANICAL MARVEL, which follows the history of the world's first robot from the Victorian age through WWI, reports HEAT VISION.

J.J. Abrams' Bad Robot has bought the rights to BOILERPLATE: HISTORY’S MECHANICAL MARVEL, which follows the history of the world's first robot from the Victorian age through WWI, reports HEAT VISION. The film will be based on Paul Guinan and Anina Bennett's graphic novel that utilizes doctored historical photos and illustrations in the style of the age the story is taking place. Guinan originally started the project as a website, which made viewers wonder whether the robot was real. Outlaw Productions' Deborah Newmye, who brought the book to Bad Robot, will also produce.
