ABC's new series V, which is slated to premiere Nov. 3, will be put on temporary hiatus after the first four episodes are aired in November, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The network said it plans to only air the first four episodes of the alien drama before putting the series on hold until early spring. The remaining 13 episodes will be probably begin broadcasting in March.

ABC plans to end the four-episode run with a cliffhanger to set up the stage for its mid-season return.

V has been under a microscope ever since production was shut down in late August for a "creative hiatus." There was also a series of rumors going around that claimed V was dead as a series, but ABC and producer Warner Bros. TV stress that is not the case.
