The show is broadcast Mondays and Fridays at 7:30 pm and Saturdays and Sundays at 4:00 pm on Toon Disney during the action/adventure programming block JETIX. It also airs and Sunday mornings 9:00 am on ABC Family during the JETIX block.

GET ED was created and is directed by award-winning director Andy Knight (BEAUTY AND THE BEAST: THE ENCHANTED CHRISTMAS). The series takes off with high-energy stories and stunts, a supped up soundtrack and loads of CG effects. Since Ed is the key to undoing the demonic villain who hopes to someday control Progress City, he is a literal moving target as he makes his danger-defying drop-offs for Dojo Deliveries. He constantly dodges and thwarts mayhem with his crew in tow, aboard their moto-BMXs and hover-skis and trying out their array of clever gizmos.

Ed and his four best friends at Dojo Deliveries in Progress City thrive in a society brimming with technology and information. Progress Citys prime source of commerce is the exchange, storage and transportation of items and intel. But the evil Bedlam runs the largest and most utilized delivery system there is DNA Deliveries. Bedlams control of information and his growing knowledge of all events, transactions and people make him an unstoppable force. Until that is Ed arrives on the scene.

Dojos sensei-like leader, Ol Skool, discovered an ancient alien device with instructions that he used to create Ed, but not before he was betrayed by his former partner, who is the see-all, know-all Bedlam. To counter-attack Bedlam and his former colleagues DNA Delivery Service, Ol Skool founded Dojo Deliveries his own underground team of couriers. They drop off a variety of unusual packages while continually eluding him.

Eds four best friends each master a specific discipline team leader Burn, who rides a moto-BMX; Deets, a pretty wingboard whiz; trickster Loogie (and his imaginary catfish hand puppet Dr. Pinch) who speeds along on inline skates; and inventor Fizz, a hover-ski guru.

Ed has been engineered with an electro-genetic mix that makes him tougher and faster than most and he is able hook himself into the static, so he can easily access power sources, channel energy and even manipulate plasma. Bedlam betrayed Ol Skool before he could actually complete the teen, so now missing parts for Ed are scattered throughout the city. Once Eds parts are found, he will be able to beating Bedlam.

With each episode, Ed begins to piece together the parts hell need to fulfill his destiny and also starts to understand the magnitude and gravity of his mission. Bedlam will do his diabolical best to gain command of Ed and bring him to the dark side.

The look and execution is sophisticated with excellent use of sound. It showed well at Comic-Con this past July. Red Rover has primarily been known for its commercial work, but the pilot episode is impressive.

The voice cast features Lyon Smith as Ed, Tony Rosato as Ol Skool, Dean Ifill as Burn, Megan Falenbock as Deets, Peter Cugno as Loogie, James Rankin as Dr. Pinch, Bailey Stocker as Fizz, Tony Daniels as Torch, Heather Bambrick as D.J. Drop, and Jamie Watson as Bedlam.

The writers are Richard Clark, Thomas Hart, Ben Joseph & Frank Young, Victor Nicolle, Simon Racioppa & Richard Elliott, Peter Sauder, Jeffrey Alan Schechter, Dale Schott, Dan Smith, and Erika Strobel. The exec producer is Thomas Hart. The series is produced by Toronto-based Red Rover in association with Walt Disney Television Animation.
