The Dino De Laurentiis Co. has tapped Shane Abbess (GABRIEL) to helm the sci-fi thriller 7TH DAY, reports Variety. Ben Ripley (SOURCE CODE) will write the script based on an idea he devised with Abbess. Described as THE SHINING in space, the story follows space explorers traveling to a new colony.
Martha De Laurentiis is the producer alongside Abbess via his Storm Alley Ent. Lorenzo De Maio will shepherd for the Dino De Laurentiis Co.
