4Kids' Viva Pinata Yields Mucho Deals

4Kids Ent. has signed broadcast licensing agreements with several global broadcasters, including Mexico's Televisa, for the license of their animated series VIVA PINATA.

New episodes of the series (52 x 30 or 104 x 11) are set to broadcast on TV3 (New Zealand), Animax (South Korea), Momo Kids TV (Taiwan) and Kids Central (Singapore) in addition to Televisa. The global broadcast lineup for VIVA PINATA includes YTV (Canada), France 3 Television (France), RTL2 (Germany), Canal J Pay Satellite TV (France), Nickelodeon (U.K,, Netherlands, Spain, Australia & New Zealand - pay TV in all markets except Netherlands), NRK (Norway), SIC (Portugal) MediaCorp TV12's Kid Central (Singapore) and Children's Channel (Israel), among others. VIVA PINATA airs weekly in the United States on 4Kids TV.

The hit series can also be seen on the 4Kids TV VoD Channel on Comcast and Cox On Demand, and on Oct. 30, 2007, Microsoft Game Studios, 4Kids Ent. and Australia-based developer Krome Studios will team up to introduce a new social party game, VIVA PINATA PARTY ANIMALS, exclusively for Xbox 360. Additionally, VIVA PINATA, originally released exclusively for Xbox 360, will be available for Windows XP and Windows Vista starting Nov. 6, 2007.

In VIVA PINATA, viewers are introduced to a cast of pinata "friends" who embark on wild adventures with mysteries to solve and parties to be had on Pinata Island. Bardel Ent., the award-winning Vancouver-based animation company, does the 3D hi-def animation. VIVA PINATA is a co-venture production with YTV of Canada.
