4Kids Names Communications SVP

4Kids Ent., Inc. announced today that it has appointed Barry Stagg as SVP, Corporate Communications. In his new position, Stagg will be responsible for implementing a global communications program to expand the awareness of 4Kids' current properties and operations, as well as new brands and business ventures.

Previously Stagg developed and executed strategic, global communications programs for some of the world's foremost entertainment companies, including Fox Family Worldwide (FFW), Lorimar/Warner Bros. Television and Embassy Television (now Sony Pictures Television). As SVP, Corporate Communications at FFW, Stagg led the communications campaign behind the POWER RANGERS worldwide phenomenon and the launch of Fox Family Channel (now ABC Family), and helped "Fox Kids" evolve into a powerful global children's entertainment brand. Most recently, Stagg was driving communications activities at emerging companies in the new media space, including Amp'd Mobile, SMS.ac and Diino.com.

A graduate of Brooklyn College (NY), Stagg has served as an adjunct professor of public relations at the University of Southern California Annenberg School of Communications, and sat on the Board of Trustees of the Entertainment Professional Publicists Society (EPPS).
