14-Year-Old Turns Down Job at Aardman

When Aardman Animations received copies of Lewi Firth Boltons stop-motion film, they were so impressed they offered him a job, however, what the Oscar-winning studio didnt know was that Bolton is only 14 years old. BBC NEWS recently reported the story of the talent young filmmaker from Bridlington, U.K., who took up stop-motion animation three years ago after seeing Aardmans WALLACE AND GROMIT shorts.

According to the BBC, the home schooled Bolton, who makes his films in his bedroom using a still digital camera, thought over whether he should take the dream job or start his own studio. In the end, he decided to continue with his current studies and make a final decision about his career path when hes older.

Boltons first film, THE WARDROBE, has won several awards. His latest MR. HATTEN BUGLEPERP AND THE GREAT HAT HEIST is a comedy chronicling the misadventures of a man who steals hats.
