Rick DeMott is the Associate Editor of Animation World Magazine. Previously, he served as Media Coordinator for Hollywood-based Acme Filmworks. He holds a BA in Film/Video from Penn State University with a Minor in Comparative Literature.

Stephen Featherstone was born in London in 1965. He studied Fine Art at Middlesex University where he specialized in sculpture and, following his degree, spent time as an artist in residence and as a studio assistant for the sculptor Eric Bainbridge. He took a post-graduate course in film and television at the University of Bristol and has since worked for various production companies including Aardman Animations. He is currently planning to take an M.A. in Animation.

Maureen Furniss, Ph.D. is Assistant Professor and Program Director of Film Studies at Chapman University in Orange, California. She is the founding editor of Animation Journal and the author of Art in Motion: Animation Aesthetics (John Libbey, 1998).

Martin "Dr. Toon" Goodman is a longtime student and fan of animation. He lives in Anderson, Indiana.

Leo F. Hobaica, Jr., Associate Director, Character Animation at CalArts, completed a B.A. in Literature, Philosophy, and Religion; and received an M.F.A. in Fiber/Mixed-Media Sculpture from Fiberworks, Berkeley, California. His extensive professional record includes regional, national and international exhibitions. His teaching experience includes positions at Syracuse University, University of Hawaii, Earlham College, San Francisco State and Grant MacEwan (Canada). He continues producing commissioned works for private and public settings, has earned several public art projects, and is currently planning site installation projects in France. Presently, he teaches Color and Design, and Art Appreciation at CalArts, and is faculty coordinator of two Community Arts Partnership (CAP) animation programs.

Heikki Jokinen is a freelance critic and journalist based in Helsinki, Finland. He specializes in comics, short film and animation. He is chairman of the Finnish Art Critics' Association and the former president of ASIFA Nordic, the ASIFA regional body for the five Nordic and three Baltic countries.

Heather Kenyon is editor in chief of Animation World Magazine.

Jacquie Kubin, a Washington, DC-based freelance journalist, enjoys writing about the electronic entertainment and edutainment mediums, including the Internet. She is a frequent contributor to the Washington Times and Krause Publication magazines. She has won the 1998 Certificate of Award granted by the Metropolitan Area Mass Media Committee of the American Association of University Women.

Larry Lauria is an animator/educator with 25 years in the industry. When not working on his current millennium animation project, 2KJ, Larry keeps himself busy working as a freelance animator and classical animation instructor. He can also be found designing animation curricula, or traveling around the world giving animation workshops and master classes. His Web site "The Toon Institute" is part of the AWN family.

Stephen Lynch has written about the various aspects of filmmaking for books and magazines throughout Australia, England and America, as well as co-hosting Flicks, a weekly film review program.

Andrew Osmond is a freelance writer specializing in fantasy media and animation.

Raymond Palma is a freelance writer. He has been published in a myriad of eclectic newspapers and magazines including, The Southampton Press, The Hollywood Scriptwriter and The Comic Bible. He was a street reporter for a TV news show and has appeared as an extra on Comedy Central and MTV's Beach House. He is currently working on an animation cartoon of his own with Fran Capo, the world's fastest talking female.

Eric Schneider is a freelance artist in the animation industry. He has produced short animated films, one of which screened at the Sick and Twisted Animation Festival and another that is currently being presented at Level113.net. Previously, he served as Co-Editor of Kabinet, a grassroots film commentary magazine that was a perfect vehicle for him to discuss his "particular love for unknown, eclectic, and misconstrued animated film." He holds a B.F.A. from N.Y.U. in Film.

Jayanti Sen has been working as a freelance journalist for various English and Bengali journals in India and abroad for the last seventeen years writing on subjects such as cinema, theatre, art, music, science, puppetry, advertising and animation. She is also an animation filmmaker who has had several of her films screened in International film festivals.

Gregory Singer is working toward an M.F.A. in Producing at Chapman University, in Orange, California. He is also the assistant editor of the Animation Journal, a peer-reviewed scholarly publication devoted to animation history and theory.

Holly Stone is the production coordinator for Hollywood, California-based Acme Filmworks. She recently moved to Los Angeles from the U.K.

Annick Teninge is the General Manager of Animation World Network. A French native, Annick began her animation career as Assistant Director at the Annecy International Animation Festival, a post she held for six years.

Paul Younghusband is editor-in-chief of Visual Magic Magazine, a publication focusing on the 3-D graphics and digital effects industries.
