Computer and Internet Animation, August 1999

August is going to be a full month for Animation World Magazine as we delve into these growing fields. Looking to make your own computer animation demo reel? Mike Amron will discuss the cost effective software available for such an undertaking. Bob Miller will also go one on one with Brad Bird, director of The Iron Giant. On the Internet animation side of things Buzz Potamkin will talk about the transition from television to web. Tom Calthrop from Smudge will teach us how to animate using Flash. Make sure you don't miss this exciting demonstration. Plus, Lee Dannacher is going to profile the movers and shakers of Silicon Alley, better known as Manhattan Island.

J.B. Kaufman is going to kick off our Fantasia "Countdown to the Year 2000" series of articles. Between August and January, 2000, we will look back on Fantasia and forward to Fantasia 2000. Students, Glenn Vilppu will continue his on-line drawing course. Plus, Judith Cockman will review the Blue's Clues CD-ROM games.
