Five other possible nominees...
While the Oscar winner has been decided, let's take a look at five other animated
shorts that were in the running for the coveted golden statue. Each year the
Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences "short lists" a group
of the top contenders, and from there they are narrowed down to the nominees.
Animation World Network showcased the five nominees,
but now we are proud to present five other animated shorts that were in the
top of their field last year and deserve recognition.
