Mission To Planet 429 Launches At MIPCOM

WTTW National Productions has partnered with Roman Coppola's Directors Bureau to launch MISSION TO PLANET 429. WTTW National Productions will introduce the new mixed media comedy adventure series for children ages 6-9 at MIPCOM 2008. The property is planned to premiere with 104x11 minute episodes (or 52 half hours) on U.S. public television and in other media platforms and in markets worldwide in 2010.

NCircle and Taffy Expand Relationship

Expanding upon their existing relationship, NCircle Ent. signed a new multi-year DVD brick-and-mortar and online retail distribution agreement with The MoonScoop Group's Taffy Ent. NCircle will assume responsibility for the DVD roll-out of the new children's series CHLOE'S CLOSET in North America. NCircle, a division of Source Interlink Companies, has already begun elevating the North American presence of Taffy's preschool DIVE OLLY DIVE! series since June.

Monster Distributes To Launch Animated Series Ben And Izzy At MIPCOM

From Jordan comes a unique animation series that follows the adventures of two pre-teens and a genie. BEN AND IZZY, the long anticipated state-of-the-art CGI animation series, will be showcased during MIPCOM 2008 by distributor Monster.

The new highly acclaimed animation series is created by Rubicon, a pioneering 2D and 3D animation/CGI, e-education, and interactive multimedia company based in Amman, Jordan.

Harry Potter Bewitches ABC Family

ABC Family has pre-bought the basic cable rights to air upcoming HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE and the 2007 release HARRY POTTER AND THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX, per VARIETY.

The network already has a contract with the four previous HARRY POTTER films. The films are a cornerstone of ABC Family's annual "25 Days of Christmas" programming slate and often get prime airing slots, according to Tom Zappala, SVP of program acquisitions and scheduling for ABC Family.

This deal seals the acquisition of top titles in TV-Loonland's programming slate, namely, the international hit THE OWL (52x1), the highly anticipated PAT & STAN (39x7), the hilarious RAYMOND (26x7) and preschool property PENELOPE (54x5).

Entertainment Rights Gets Home Video Rights To Frankenstein's Cat In U.K.

Entertainment Rights has secured the U.K. home entertainment rights to FRANKENSTEIN'S CAT. Produced by Mackinnon & Saunders, this (30x11) animated comedy series targets 6-9 year old children.

The show is currently one of the top rated shows on CBBC and follows a unique friendship between a girl, Lottie, who doesn't fit in, and a cat called Nine, whose body parts don't fit together properly. As part of the deal, ER has the option to distribute further series and spinoffs as the show develops.

Cake Distribution and FRESH TV have signed a new worldwide distribution deal for FRESH TV's TOTAL DRAMA ACTION series -- the sequel to their animated reality series TOTAL DRAMA ISLAND. The new deal brings all the drama to a wider market than TOTAL DRAMA ISLAND.

FRESH TV's original series became a breakout success on TELETOON, drawing a strong audience in a growing list of markets, both on-air and online, and can currently be seen on the Cartoon Network in the U.S.
