Headline News Kansas U Students Tease With Toon Prequel

A trio of Kansas University students has begun to drum up interest for their upcoming webtoon ZOOK MAYHEM AND THE BANDITS by releasing a short one-minute prequel at www.zookmayhem.com, reports THE KANSAN.

Having worked on the cartoon for the past seven months, creator Nolan T. Jones felt the prequel would be a great way to introduce the characters and spur interest in the series before the first episode launches in October.

In a broadcasting first, SCI FI will launch its season online, with a five-week, 10-episode online-only prequel season called BATTLESTAR GALACTICA: THE RESISTANCE. Premiering today (Sept. 5, 2006) SCIFI.COM will begin airing two- to three-minute episodes every Tuesday and Thursday at midnight, at www.scifi.com/battlestar, leading up to the Oct. 6 season 3 premiere on television.

Headline News EA Signs New Dynamic In-Game Advertising Deals

Electronic Arts Inc. announced two separate agreements with Massive Inc. and IGA Worldwide Inc. in a move that will offer to marketers on a global basis new dynamic advertising opportunities across select EA franchises on the Xbox 360.

A portfolio of EA games developed for the Xbox 360 and PC worldwide will be incorporated into Massive's Video Game Network. Massive is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Microsoft. Financial terms of today's agreement were not disclosed.

Headline News Rockstar’s Controversial Bully Ready to Launch in October

Rockstar, the maker of best-selling videogame series GRANT THEFT AUTO, announced that it would launch its controversial new game, BULLY, in October.

Set in a U.S. boarding school, the game follows 15-year-old Jimmy Hopkins as he violently defends himself against school bullies ranging from nerds to jocks to authoritarian prefects.

"Finally BULLY can speak for itself. People can look at the game and see what it is and what it's not," company spokesman Rodney Walker said.
