FXLabs Studios, India's leading developer of video games, has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire U.S.-based IMT, Inc., owner of one of the world's largest online casual games portals, Knibble.com. FXLabs will pay US$3 million in stock to acquire 100% of IMT.

Multi-platform kids' program service Kabillion has partnered with interactive pioneer Little Director to offer an online site where kids can turn their artwork into animated movies. The free area at www.Kabillion.com enables kids to create drawings and submit them to LittleDirector.com, where, for a reduced fee of $19.95, the drawings will be converted into a short animated movie, complete with music soundtrack. The movies are viewable on Kabillion and can be delivered by mail on a DVD.
Sony Computer Entertainment America Inc. (SCEA) announced that MLB 08 THE SHOW will be available in spring 2008, exclusively for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2 and PSP.

Internet TV service Vuze has signed an exclusive worldwide distribution deal for the anime series NEKO RAHMEN, reports C21 MEDIA. The company will offer the 13-episode hit series free-of-charge with English subtitles and no digital restrictions. Based on Sonishi Kenji's comedy cartoon, NEKO RAHMEN was the most popular short animation series on official streaming site Yahoo! Japan in August of this year. Vuze plans to offer French-, German- and Spanish-subtitled versions by early 2008.

Hong Kong-based Artificial Life Inc., a provider of award-winning mobile 3G technology and applications, announced that it has signed a worldwide licensing deal with Paramount Digital Ent. to release two exclusive mobile games based on the multiple-Academy Award-winning movie BRAVEHEART and the recent box office hit SHOOTER.
The advanced mobile games will be of the action genre with real-time strategy features and enhanced 3D graphics. The games are scheduled for release and sale globally in early 2008 via on-deck telecom carriers and off-deck resellers.
Capcom officially announced development of STREET FIGHTER IV, the next iteration of the genre-establishing fighting game series. This marks the first new entry announced in nearly eight years, following the acclaimed STREET FIGHTER III THIRD STRIKE.

Exodus Film Group announced a videogame deal with Interactive Game Group (I2G) and Legacy Interactive for a multi-platform game based on Exodus' CG-animated feature film IGOR. The game will be distributed on Nintendo DS and Wii, PC and wireless. Legacy Interactive will publish the IGOR game in North America and I2G is financing and coordinating the project on a worldwide basis. IGOR is a Weinstein Co. presentation being distributed in U.S. theaters by MGM on Oct. 24, 2008. The Weinstein Co. is handling international sales for the film.

Activision Inc. and Vivendi today announced that they have signed a definitive agreement to combine Vivendi Games -- which includes Blizzard Ent, creators of WORLD OF WARCRAFT -- with Activision, creating the world's largest pure-play online and console game publisher. The new company, Activision Blizzard, is expected to have approximately $3.8 billion in pro forma combined calendar 2007 revenues and the highest operating margins of any major third-party videogame publisher.
MTV Networks announced plans to make every clip from every episode of SOUTH PARK available for free online next year, reports THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER. The move comes on the heels of the Viacom company's success with streaming THE DAILY SHOW WITH JON STEWART. Back in August, Comedy Central signed an unprecedented deal with SOUTH PARK creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone to share revenue on SOUTH PARK episodes across the Web, mobile phones and videogames.
Mumbai-based mobile phone content provider Hungama Mobile has entered into an agreement with Paramount Digital Ent. for the distribution of interactive content in the Indian market.
Paramount Digital is part of the Paramount Pictures Corp, a unit of Viacom Inc.
"With extraordinary growth and more new mobile subscribers than in any other country, India presents a great opportunity for our rapidly expanding global business," Paramount Digital Entertainment VP (Asia Pacific) Pradeep Mittur said.
Netflix Inc. and NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution announced an agreement through which current episodes of the network's top-rated prime-time series HEROES can be watched online by Netflix subscribers the day after their network airings.
The deal follows NBC Universal's announcement that G4 and Mojo will be the off-network cable homes for HEROES and makes Netflix the exclusive SVOD outlet for the series and the third arm of the studio's syndication deal.
1C Publishing EU has brought the first anime-style action game developed in Russia to markets in Europe. The RPG/action game developed by Gaijin Ent. features more than 20 weapons and lethal spells to counter various enemies in many locations throughout a fantasy universe.
In the game, the young heroine Oniblade follows a map to an abandoned temple, which stirs up an ancient war between The Light One and The Dark One -- two creatures that used to be brothers until their fight for supremacy divided them.
