The team that brought FINAL FANTASY III to Nintendo DS comes together once again to breathe new life into a classic that broke convention and introduced a wide array of innovations to the RPG genre.

With its groundbreaking Active Time Battle system and an engrossing, character-driven plot, FINAL FANTASY IV was a stunning step forward for role-playing games when it was originally released for the Super NES in 1991.

The re-envisioned FINAL FANTASY IV will be released on Nintendo DS on July 22, 2008.

Students Create Animated Game For Edgar & Ellen

Flashpoint Academy students just created JUGGLE MANIA, an online Flash-based video game using assets from the EDGAR & ELLEN special "Nobody's Fools" provided by Star Farm Productions.

The fan-inspired EDGAR & ELLEN series airs on Nicktoons. JUGGLE MANIA debuted on the EDGAR & ELLEN website on April 1 and has already had international entries from the United Kingdom, Sweden, Norway, Holland, Belgium, Finland, Ireland and Canada.

JUGGLE MANIA was designed for children ages 6-12 and will be on the EDGAR & ELLEN website (www.edgarandellen.com) all through April.

LucasArts Appoints New President

Darrell Rodriguez has been named president of LucasArts, the videogame division of Lucasfilm Ltd., it was announced today by Lucasfilm President Micheline Chau.

He replaces Jim Ward, who stepped down in February.

"Darrell is the ideal person to run LucasArts," Chau said. "Having worked at both Electronic Arts and Disney Imagineering he brings the perfect blend of production, operational, and creative expertise. For a games company such as LucasArts with its roots in film, this is an electric combination."
