THQ Inc. Pixar Animation Studios and Disney Interactive released today (Nov. 1, 2004) THE INCREDIBLES videogame based on the upcoming film, THE INCREDIBLES (which comes out Nov. 5). THQs Heavy Iron Studios developed the game for PlayStation2, the Xbox and GameCube while Helixe developed it for Game Boy Advance and Beenox adapted the console version to PC/Mac. THE INCREDIBLES: WHEN DANGER CALLS, an additional PC/Mac title targeting the younger demographic featuring an assortment of mini-games has also shipped.

Warner Bros. Interactive Ent., DC Comics and Electronic Arts will join forces to bring BATMAN BEGINS to multiple videogame platforms in 2005. In this exclusive co-publishing agreement, a game based on the upcoming film will be released day and date with the film on the PlayStation 2, the PSP (PlayStation Portable), Xbox, Nintendo GameCube and Game Boy Advance.
Sprint and Turner Broadcasting System Inc. announced today (Oct. 26, 2004) the launch of two additional multimedia channels - Cartoon Network Mobile and Adult Swim Mobile, which will provide streaming video and audio content for Sprint PCS Vision Multimedia Services.
Cartoon Network Mobile and Adult Swim Mobile will be available on Channels 10 and 11, respectively, and each will cost $3.95 a month for Sprint PCS Vision customers. Cartoon Network joins sister network CNN (Channel 2) as a multimedia channel on the Sprint PCS Vision Multimedia Service.
Sony Online Entertainment Inc. (SOE), announced that multiplayer online gaming sequel EVERQUEST II is scheduled to simultaneously ship to North American and European retail stores on Nov. 8, 2004. EVERQUEST II is the highly anticipated follow-up to EVERQUEST, the most successful and longest-running 3D MMO role-playing game in North America.
Buena Vista Interactive has shipped its much-anticipated action adventure game, TRON 2.0: KILLER APP, for Game Boy Advance to North American retail outlets. The title will also ship for the Xbox in early November 2004.
"TRON 2.0 for Game Boy Advance is loaded with game play options, from first- and third-person combat to multiplayer action and perfect renditions of the classic TRON arcade games," said Bob Picunko, director of product marketing for Buena Vista Games. Ubisoft and Universal Studios Consumer Products Group announced plans to release an interactive game based on Universal Pictures upcoming KING KONG, directed by Peter Jackson. The game will be available worldwide on all platforms at the beginning of the holiday season in conjunction with the Dec. 14, 2005 theatrical release of the movie.
Microsoft Game Studios announced that HALO 2 for Xbox has gone gold and will ship simultaneously over three days to 27 countries in eight languages. HALO 2 will be available on Nov. 9, 2004, throughout North and South America, Asia, Australia and New Zealand. The sequel to the award-winning HALO: COMBAT EVOLVED by Bungie, will be available in France, Belgium and Switzerland on November 10, as well as in Japan and the rest of Europe on November 11.
Namco, Japan, one of the world's leading games developers, has selected endorphin to help produce its upcoming TEKKEN 5. Due to hit arcades before the end of the year and to debut on consoles in 2005, TEKKEN 5 represents the next iteration of what is arguably one of the biggest game franchises.

In response to recent speculation about its master videogame licensing agreement, Herb Scannell, president, Nickelodeon Networks, said that Nickelodeon was working closely with several parties and was in the final stages of licensing rights to develop videogames based on Nickelodeon animated properties. Scannell indicated that the process would be supervised by independent directors of Viacom and that no decision had yet been made as to which videogame publisher would receive the rights.
Pendulum Studios has announced the creation of a Website for its new 3D-animated short film, ARREST ASSURED. The new Website, www.studiopendulum.com/arrestassured shows off concept art, still imagery, storyboards, evolutionary clips and making-of movies, including a short behind-the-scenes movie called ANATOMY OF SHOT, which shows the compositing construction of one of the shots from the film.

HIGHLANDER rights holder Davis Panzer Prods. has signed a deal to turn the immortal franchise into a videogame, reports VARIETY. In a multiple title agreement, British publisher Sci Games will begin work on the first game set for mid-2006 release. The videogame will have a different storyline than the forthcoming live-action film and the anime feature slated for 2006. Producers Peter Davis and Bill Panzer plan to get top talent from the five films and TV series to help develop the game. Stars Christopher Lambert and Adrian Paul will provide their voices and likeness.

Disney Online has unleashed pets called Doodles in Toontown (www.toontown.com), the award-winning, massively multiplayer 3D online game for families. With this latest extension of the game, members of Toontown can adopt a variety of outrageous creatures to play with and raise as pets.

Activision Value Publishing has announced that it has teamed with game developer WXP and paintball legend Greg Hastings to create the first-ever paintball game for a major videogame console -- GREG HASTINGS' TOURNAMENT PAINTBALL for the Xbox. This single and multiplayer game combines the strategy and teamwork of a sports title with the view of a first-person action game. The game will be available this fall and is currently rated "RP" by the ESRB.
