Just in time for the holidays, Electronic Arts shipped SUPERMAN RETURNS: THE VIDEOGAME, licensed by Warner Bros. Interactive Ent., on Nov. 20, 2006. The game, which features storylines from both the Warner Bros. Pictures' film SUPERMAN RETURNS and more than 60 years of DC Comics' content, was developed by EA's Tiburon Studio in Orlando, the award-winning studio that develops MADDEN NFL. SUPERMAN RETURNS: THE VIDEOGAME is an open-world superhero title for the Xbox 360, PlayStation2, Xbox and Nintendo DS.
JibJab and "Weird Al" Yankovic released an online-only video parodying American Idol winner Taylor Hicks' song, "Do I Make You Proud." The parody, entitled "Do I Creep You Out," is from Weird Al's latest best-selling album "Straight Outta Lynwood," and the video features a forlorn stalker (played in classic JibJab style by Weird Al) chasing the woman of his dreams. Highlighting its November lineup of game titles, Electronic Arts released two new DARK AGE OF CAMELOT (DAOC) in North America. LABYRINTH OF THE MINOTAUR, the MMORPG's 7th expansion, is being released in conjunction with the epic fantasy game's 5th anniversary. The new expansion is available both as a stand alone product via digital distribution and as part of the new DARK AGE OF CAMELOT: 5TH ANNIVERSARY COLLECTION. Developed by EA Mythic (formerly Mythic Ent.), the titles are available for the PC and require an internet connection to play.
Starting today, Nov. 17, 2006, fans of KAPPA MIKEY will be able to download a free Clip of the Week every Friday, the shows creator, Animation Collective, announced. MTV Networks and international game publisher Nexon have announced a broad based strategic partnership. The companies will partner to create a new premium user experience for MTVN's NEOPETS, one of the largest youth communities on the Internet, and includes MTVN's marketing of the launch of Nexon's casual MMOG game titles in North America via its portfolio of television and online brands. Two of the first titles to be marketed under the alliance will be MAPLE STORY and KART RIDER, which are already enjoyed by 50 million and 80 million players around the world, respectively.

THQ Inc. has released Disney/Pixar's CARS for Xbox 360, in conjunction with the Cars holiday DVD launch on Nov. 7, 2006. This follows the launch of this past summer's blockbuster cross-platform launch of the game for the PlayStation2, Xbox, Nintendo GameCube, Game Boy Advance, Nintendo DS, PSP, PC and Mac. Turner Broadcasting System Inc. announced that programming downloads of original productions from Adult Swim and NASCAR.COM will be made available beginning Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2006, to Xbox 360 gamers via Xbox Live, the online gaming and entertainment network.
