Which program should I use?

Hi Guys, I'm new to the world of animation and I need to build multiple things, to visualize ranges of movement.

1.) A figure, which has an animation of moving its arms at shoulder and elbow, in an arc, up and down. Also it needs a slider to alter the movement ranges in the process (doesn't need to be fluid, a couple of points that can be slid between are enough).

2.) The same thing, only instead of a slider it will have a graph next to it, which depicts the trend more obviously, by clicking on a point of the graph the figure will then start to move its arms according to the status of the graph.

3.) The same graph from No. 2, but not with a figure next to it. Instead there should be some points in the graph which each depict a figure (this time without animation) with a half- (or quarter-, or whatever-is-appropriate-)circle, that visualizes the range of movement of the joint.

I am not sure where to start. I don't know which program(s) to use, to be exact. Can you help me? What would you use? Also, I am a student, so I don't have the money for specialist software, freeware will have to suffice.

Thanks in advance for any help,

Skajetan

Your limited to free software

Your limited to free software so find the free software and learn how to use it. Blender is the only one that come to my mind. There might be others so be sure a look around.

Do you think it would be

Do you think it would be possible to work with Unity? I don't have to model the figure since it is an early draft, so I can just use something from the Asset Store there, what I need to do is the animation - and especially the changing of the animation during runtime.
