Looking for animators!

Hi there,

My partner and I just started a small production company, Lightmare Creative Productions. As a non-profit studio, our mission is to help creative, passionate individuals build their portfolios while providing entertainment. If you're looking to improve your skills while having a blast, we would love to have you.

In terms of animation... Two things:

  1. Animation needs depend on what shows we’re working on. If a show uses existing game models, we’d like to see the work done in Source Filmmaker (due to the formats of rigging provided), unless you have a way of converting the files. If we’re using original models, it doesn’t matter if the work is done in SFM or not (so Maya, Blender, 3ds Max, etc. should be okay). If the models were made in Maya, then it’s suggested that the work be continued in Maya, to avoid conversions and other possible issues.
  2. Original models will be created by modelers we have on-board, which they may or may not add rigging to. Existing game models, however, will be provided (via links), along with the appropriate rigging.

For more immediate needs, we're looking for someone who has SFM experience (or someone who is willing to learn how to use it). Considering that I don't have an animation background, I was able to study SFM and learn how to use it after an hour, which reveals SFM's friendly interface, I should say. Despite knowing how to use the software, I would, however, rather have someone else working on the animations as this is not my passion (and I strongly believe in doing things you love). Oh, and this is what I created using SFM on my first trial, if you'd like to see it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wsm70byScQM

Is it you I'm looking for? :)

Thank you for your time, and I hope to hear from you soon.

Cheers,

Anna
