Hello, everybody.
Ever since I saw it on the aforementioned cartoon, I've been wondering how to do by myself a so simple, yet effective way to display outlines as in that cartoon. I'm referring to the way that Bloo, for example, only has the outline for his arms (or part of them) when seen inside his body area, while any other portion outside has no visible outline to be seen. I believe the same applies for all other charaters in the series.
I've tried to replicate it, but end up with tedious techniques that involve animating similar objects twice or applying masks in inefficient ways, when I'm fairly sure it was a very easy aspect of their routine at production.
Can somebody give a little advice on how to do it?
What software are you using?
