Animation Paper 12F

Hey all,

I've created in Photoshop a very close (hopefully) 12F Animation paper with camera boundary, center point and peg holes, for those who want to print it at home and can't afford a standard papers.

I will put a PSD version and upload a Jpeg version.

Can you print only the peg holes? Also what would you use to cut the peg holes out?

Nice idea, but most household printers cannot accommodate the paper size for a 12F page--which is 10 1/2" x 12 1/2".
Scaling the page down to fit a letter sized page (8 1/2" x 11") will not make it 12F.

You can disable the layers in the PSD version, if you can't access it, however I uploaded here a peg holes only version :-)

to cut the Holes I guess u can buy your self ur own peg puncher, but u can either build a custom one or use a knife..

maybe i will build one and put instructions here.. mm :-)

@Ken Davis,
Most people can print A4 papers with their printers.
A4 = 8.268inches x 11.693
12F = 12inches x 8.85inches

Since the camera safe has a inside boundary, you can actually print it on a A4 with a much smaller 'out of boundary' space (which most likely will not be used in an actual shot)

I will give it a try though to see how it looks on a A4

Animation Paper 12F

The 2 Media animation is awesome. Very well thought out, planned and executed. The only thing Id crit on is the resolution, I like to see it with higher resolution.

I will try to do a 300dpi resolution :-) :-)

Thanks, but , ummmm ... I don't understand what the purpose of it is :confused: ... you print this template out on a piece of paper and then what ?

The peg holes are printed , not punched out , so it doesn't fit over a peg bar .

to cut the Holes I guess u can buy your self ur own peg puncher, but u can either build a custom one or use a knife..

So the intention that the peg holes are supposed to be manually cut out ?
How ? There's no way to do that with enough precision on every sheet to have any kind of accurate registration.

But if as you suggest someone purchases their own hole punch (Acme or round-hole punch) then why have the peg hole shapes pre-printed on the paper in the first place ?

Also, the peg hole shapes shown on the template are not Acme pegs so even if someone had the spare time (and a very steady hand) to manually cut out the holes , the holes would not fit over the pegs on a standard peg bar.

No need to 'reinvent the wheel' (unless it's faster and/or cheaper) . Just buy pre-punched Acme peg paper , or if that's too expensive then make your own
two-hole or three-hole round peg bar system and use a commonly available inexpensive round hole-punch to punch your own paper. (standard printer/copier paper)
