The Disney Portfolio Submissions Link...

There is a new online portfolio submissions kiosk for Disney. Has anyone used this? Does this mean they will be going back to 2D productions again. It has always been pretty difficult to make a connection with Disney. Now that it is part Pixar I would have thought it make it even more difficult. Now any one with a computer and an internet connection can shoot the "apple" off the head of the mouse. Any opinions of this link?

Where did you find that link?

The link is genuine. Just follow the directions. Here's an article about it: http://news.awn.com/index.php?ltype=top&newsitem_no=18065

It's never been all that hard to get your portfolio or reel to Disney. Getting hired - that's a different story... :D

This link makes the process easier, although I've heard there are layoffs in the near future, so I wonder why this link is being publicised so heavily just now.

Cool. Thanks Sharvonique. At first glance it looked pretty sketchy, then you have to download a file, and I said "no way." But it's a real link so that fine.

I agree with DSB, getting your work in is easy, getting your self in is hard. I don't know how many of my portfolios are now laying in Disney land fills.

Thanks for the link.

And it isn't always about the work - often it's about what they need and when they need it. I've heard endless amounts of stories of artists who were given 9's and 10's on their portfolios only to not get an offer, simply because there was no slot open at that time. It happens.
