Tony White's amazing new book

For any of you out there who are looking for practical advice, informed instruction and good old-fashioned inspiration in your animation training (whatever the medium) may I recommend that you get out there and snap up a copy of Tony White's amazing new book, "Animation, from Pencils to Pixels", published by Focal Press.

I hope this heart-felt plug for a terrific text book doesn't contravene any on-line protocols about advertising - at the same time you'd have to be nuts not to find this book, buy it and recommend it to anybody and everybody you know who gives a damn about the history, the techniques and the possibilities of animation.

By the turn of the year I'll be willing to bet that every shelf where there's presently a copy of Muybridge and Richard Williams' "The Animator's Survival Kit" will carry a copy of "From Pencils to Pixels" too. Certainly any college worth its salt should have at least one copy in its library for the students to dive into and enjoy.

Way to go, TW,
