I am looking for a new graphics card to help ramp up my rendering time. I current run an AMD Athlon 64 3000+ processor and am using an ATI Radeon 9800 SE. The card has served its purpose well, but now I have need for a better one. I only have AGP (8X) on my current motherboard and would like anyones recommendation on a replacement. I have a few in mind, but since I have this resource, I might as well ask.

If you want to get a great card for AGP to speed up your rendering time, get a Quadro FX 1100 128mb card. It goes for 640 bucks or go for the gold and get a Quadro Fx 4000 256mb for 1500 bucks! I have a GeForce 7800 gt and it works extremely well and fast. I'm not a professional so im not sure what you're situation is. I'm guessing your'e not a pro so I would recommend a 7800GS 256mb for 300 bucks.
