finished with scene?

http://www.ribaldyouth.com/krishna/anim/seniorproject/tigergirlfinish.html

finally finished with it... this is the last scene I'll be doing in color for a long time, since I've decided to switch to black and white (pencil tests, essentially) so I can spend more time animating and less coloring for my senior project. There are things I'm not too happy with about it, but I'll wait to see what you guys think first. Please critique!

edit: http://www.ribaldyouth.com/krishna/anim/seniorproject/tigergirlsmall.html for a smaller, playable version

That's damn beautiful man! It's running really really slow though... maybe a generic preloader tacked on the front might help us to get a better feel for it. Keep up the awesome work!

Amazing!! I like it.

lovely job dude!

Wow. That was terrific. The depth and the follow of the piece as we move down to the forest floor was great.

Do you have a blog about this anywhere? I'd love to share some of your thinking and process with the mostly 9th graders in my multimedia classes (we use Flash mainly). At least I can share this beautiful work with them.

There's a little biker in all of us...

nope, sorry, no blog
they're teaching flash in high school now? that's COOL

I agree, that is some really nice stuff!

You might consider having the clouds move a bit (though I wouldn't have them get up and dance or anything :D )

I look forward to seeing how the black and white stuff turns out!

thanks
yeah, the slowness is bugging me too... but I dunno if a preloader would help, since after the first run through the loop everything is fully loaded, and it still runs slowly. It runs a little better if you run it off your harddrive with a flash player, rather than through an internet browser plugin. Other than that, I don't know how to fix it other than breaking it into multiple swfs =\

and I like the clouds JUST WHERE THEY ARE.

I just really love this, has a great feel to it all around.

<div style="clear:both;"></div><div align="center"><embed allowScriptAccess="never" src="http://www.dondixon.com/donlink.swf" width="467" height="108" type="video/quicktime" loop="true" autoplay="false"></embed><br /><em><span style="font-family:arial;font-size:85%;"></span></em></div>

i really like the whole style about it. The drawings and coloring job are very cool.

The scale of the whole thing is probably has something to do with the lag issue. I mean it takes up more than 70 percent of my display (1280x854)

that did it blink
thanks :D
