acting in anime

Hello people, this message is to concerning about voice acting.

In a magazine article, this was the advise given to becoming an voice actor "Study long and hard, learn to act, make a short but stunning demo tape, get an agent, audition, audition, audition, study some more, audition some more, and somewhere along the line you may just find yourself the next Bart Simpson or Yogi Bear."

What do you study to become an voice actor? What are the majors to learning how to act? How is voice acting different from general acting? Is it necessary to learn general acting before learning voice acting? Would it be better to have experience in general acting before approaching voice acting? Would getting a B.S. degree in theatre or fine arts be helpful to becoming a voice actor?

Where should a person who is interested in voice acting start? Is there any college prep classes? Are there other places to get trained in voice acting besides from a program belonging to the business firm? How would you know if you have talent?

Where can you find a trustable agent when you are nobody trying to become a voice actor and you have no money?

Where can you try out and experience voice acting just to see if I have the quality and if this career is what you want before you fully determine to become an voice actor.

Lots of questions. I am really grateful if you could at least answer one question. Thanks.

The answer here is a bit of a applied logic exercise, but a very easy one.
