ANIMA2013 will take place in the city of Córdoba, Argentina, from October 10th through 12th, 2013. This seventh edition of Argentina's most relevant animation festival will be dedicated to exploring the relationship between animation and the other arts.

The Festival is open for short and feature animation films of every genre and topic, including school productions. Participation is open for animation shorts from all over the world - produced for film, television, video or the Internet - with special interest in those from Latin America.

"Fest Anca" is an international animated film festival based in Zilina, Slovakia, festivals main spot is situated in a train station which was turned into modern culture center (www.stanica.sk). Its purpose is to show contemporary, progressive animated films to commemorate the best of the genre's history. The long-term vision is to approximate well-known international festivals, filling an empty space in this field of art in Slovakia. An international competition for best animated film and best animated music video - to be selected by an expert panel - is a part of the festival. Accompanying events include workshops, exhibitions and chats with filmmakers and producers. The summertime festival atmosphere is supported by a camping city, nighttime screenings and live concerts. This year´s edition - 27.6. - 30.6. 2012.

The organization of the 2nd International Animation Festival Chilemonos 2013, opens its inscriptions
to the new pageant that will take place un Chile, Santiago between May 8th and may 12th of 2013.
1.- GENERAL TERMS.
I.- The 2nd International Animation Festival Chilemonos 2013 offers to participate in a new animation
contest that can be made by individual person o in a collective way, over 18 years old, from any country,
sending the animated film creations in shortfilm format and children’s animated series that meet the
technical standards to their future exhibition.
II.- The contest application is free.
III.- Each participant can deliver a maximum of two works of animated films in shortfilm format, while
animated series can present a maximum of 3 series.
2.- PURPOSES.
To offer Chilean and Foreign artists and directors of audiovisual animation a professional space for
diffusion and competition, as well as the promotion of national and international audiovisual
productions with artistic qualities.
3.- APPLICATION DATE.
Between October 23 of 2012 and February 15 of 2013
4.- CONTEST CATEGORIES.
I.- International animated shortfilms competition The official Selection will be oriented to the
exhibition of films in the shortfilm format. The works must have at least a length of 30 minutes. Each
applicant can present a maximum of 2 works in this competition. For all categories will have a unique
application form. Other specifications on chapter 5 “Application general terms”

II.- National student works competition Official selection oriented to the exhibition of films in the
shortfilm format produced under supervision of institutional schools, universities or Chilean
professional institutes. Cinema, animation, design or audiovisual students can participate. The works
must have at least a length of 30 minutes. To accredit the student situation, each participant must
present with his or her application a support letter of their institution. Each applicant can present a
maximum of 2 works in this competition. The film that participate in this category can already be
shown en others contests. For all categories will have a unique application form. Other specifications
on chapter 5 “Application general terms”
III.- National animated series competition Official selection oriented to the exhibition of films of
children series, produced by independent producers of TV channel, with or without state founding.
Only one episode of each series can applicate in the competition with a length of 90 minutes, with any
animation technique, and segmented for concrete age groups. Each applicant, single or not, can
present a maximum of 3 series for this competition For all categories

The London International Animation Festival is the UK's largest international animation festival which proudly showcases the whole spectrum of creative animation, showing that animation is for everyone.

Founded in 2003, LIAF aims to dispel the popular misconception that animation is just cartoons for kids by screening the broadest possible range of intelligent, entertaining and provocative current films on offer from all around the world as well as retrospectives and specialised sessions from countries and animators who don't normally elicit such attention.

Our annual 10-day Festival in August and September includes gala premieres, retrospectives, Q&A's with filmmakers, workshops, audience voting, and the Best of the Festival screening.

Burbank, CA, July 19, 2012 --- The Los Angeles Chapter of Woman In Animation (WIA), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, kicks off the summer with a series of “Animation Master Classes,” featuring courses and discussion on what you were never taught in school yet need to know when seeking a career in animation for the entertainment industry. Industry veterans will help newbies and professionals alike to navigate their path in animation writing, voice-over for animation, storyboarding, visual development and animation.

 

Showcasing a luminary cast of irrepressible professionals in animation, the WIA La Chapter, “Animation Master Classes” will be held August, 4-5, and 11-12 at the Los Angeles Academy of Figurative Art, 16926 Saticoy Street, Van Nuys, CA. Special guest star includes Emmy-award winning voice talent, June Foray, ("Rocky And His Friends") who will address the voice over class on August 5. In addition, WIA Los Angeles chapter is pleased to offer its Member discount to members of ASIFA. Please include your membership number when signing up.
