Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) is an exciting World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) open standard enabling high-quality, dynamic, interactive, stylable graphics to be delivered over the Web using accessible, human-readable XML. SVG can be delivered to mobile phones, PDAs, and desktop computers.

At the SVG Open 2004 Conference you will have the opportunity to learn about the SVG standard, how to use it to create effective and compelling Web content, techniques for developing SVG software solutions, and the latest developments from the W3C. You will meet the authors of the SVG specifications and the creators of SVG applications in person, and you will have the opportunity to provide your own input for future development. At the SVG Open 2004 Exhibition, you will get a chance to see the newest SVG applications and tools at work, and you will hear early announcements of upcoming SVG product releases. SVG Open 2004 courses will enlighten you on SVG, XML and related standards, graphic design and Web application design. Courses will be available at both introductory and advanced levels, in order to serve the needs of all conference attendees.

refocus-now is hosting its 2005 Calendar Competition featuring the best photography, digital imaging and mixed media work being used in advertising, design and the publishing market sectors. The calendar will be published in autumn with each of the competition winners receiving 20 copies for their own use. The remainder will be distributed to commercial art buyers, art directors and designers and sold from the refocus-now Website. The four categories cover all four seasons and entrants can interpret the theme for each category however they wish. This class is designed for artists and photographers who want to explore the possibilities offered by digital image making. Attendees will discover how to use Adobe Photoshop for the creation of still imagery, image/text artwork, digital collage and digitally processed images. They will also learn how to prepare images for print, Web and video applications. Topics include paint tools, selections, editing, text, transformations, patterns, adjustments, layers, filters, palettes, file types/image modes and scanning.

His major credits include storyboards and storyboard supervisor on THE SIMPSONS from 1995-98, designing and directing two seasons of the series DISNEY'S FILLMORE! on ABC Kids and serving as director/co-exec producer on a new series for Disney Channel called AMERICAN DRAGON: NYC.
