AVIT is a community based and led organization dedicated to creating a place where artists, developers, educators and manufacturers from all around the world can come and share their knowledge with each other. AVIT aims to help those who are eager to learn about the tools and techniques available for live audio/video performance and to provide a platform for performance.

The objective is to bring together both established and up-and-coming artists within the field of live audio-visual arts and new media, thus creating a space to explore and share views and techniques. To further raise the profile of this new media to educators, curators and related industry leaders, to introduce the artists to the technology and the manufacturers and developers to the artists.

This workshop is open to beginners and high school students who are planning to appy to any visual arts program.

Life Drawing: This course introduces students to drawing the human figure. It focuses on basic exercises in gesture, contour, weight and modelled drawing using varied materials: pencil, ink, charcoal and conte.

Perspective and Structural Drawing: This course helps students develop skills in the basic mechanics of linear perspective. Perspective drawing is concerned with achieving a sense of space, depth, and the third dimension within the limits of the flat drawing surface.

Principles of Drawing: This course will teach students how to express 3-dimensional form using shape, line and tonal pattern.

Mundos Digitales is and event dedicated to 3D Animation and VFX, in which speakers from the most relevant companies in these fields participate such as Pixar, Weta Digital, Dreamworks, Framestore CFC, The Mill, Digital Domain, etc.
The event happens during the second week of July, and includes workshops, conferences, special sessions, and a competition-festival for independent short animation films. This competition is still open. See details in homepage.

IDG World Expo will host Macworld Conference & Expo, the world's most comprehensive Macintosh OS event. The event showcases products and services for professionals involved in media and creative content development for corporate and home applications, as well as consumers using the Mac at home. The next StoryBoard Pitch Night is with a guest Christian Roman, who has been involved in animation for almost 12 years. His major credits include storyboards and storyboard supervisor on THE SIMPSONS from 1995-98, designing and directing two seasons of the series DISNEY'S FILLMORE! on ABC Kids and serving as director/co-exec producer on a new series for Disney Channel called AMERICAN DRAGON: NYC. HypeFest is a unique festival that links independent ideas with commercial creativity, boasting an attendance of more than 1,000 filmgoers, which showcases more than 80 original short-subject works from filmmakers around the world. The weekend-long screenings and festivities conclude with an awards show. HypeFest is accepting short films (40 minutes or less), commercials, music videos and promos for competition screening.
