This workshop is open to beginners and high school students who are planning to appy to any visual arts program.

Life Drawing: This course introduces students to drawing the human figure. It focuses on basic exercises in gesture, contour, weight and modelled drawing using varied materials: pencil, ink, charcoal and conte.

Perspective and Structural Drawing: This course helps students develop skills in the basic mechanics of linear perspective. Perspective drawing is concerned with achieving a sense of space, depth, and the third dimension within the limits of the flat drawing surface.

Principles of Drawing: This course will teach students how to express 3-dimensional form using shape, line and tonal pattern.

The next StoryBoard Pitch Night is with a guest Christian Roman, who has been involved in animation for almost 12 years. His major credits include storyboards and storyboard supervisor on THE SIMPSONS from 1995-98, designing and directing two seasons of the series DISNEY'S FILLMORE! on ABC Kids and serving as director/co-exec producer on a new series for Disney Channel called AMERICAN DRAGON: NYC. This class is designed for artists and photographers who want to explore the possibilities offered by digital image making. Attendees will discover how to use Adobe Photoshop for the creation of still imagery, image/text artwork, digital collage and digitally processed images. They will also learn how to prepare images for print, Web and video applications. Topics include paint tools, selections, editing, text, transformations, patterns, adjustments, layers, filters, palettes, file types/image modes and scanning.

The Inspired Art Fair

Inspired Art Fair is the only U.K. annual art fair showcasing up to 70 independent undiscovered artists held at Old Truman Brewery, 91, Brick Lane, London E1,16th - 21st Nov. The launch in Oct. 2003 gave 49 international sculptors, drawers, painters, photographers and digital artists of exceptional quality the opportunity to show and sell their work to thousands of visitors and international galleries.

Animations are required to be projected at the Fair to contibute to the atmosphere. As the Fair is run on a voluntary basis, all animations will be shown without pay, but will get full credit in the corporate catalogue. Following a year-long advertising campaign including London Underground and Time Out magazine, thousands of people are expected to attend the Fair. This will include people from the Press and Trade Industry and representatives from the Art and Design world. This is an excellent opportunity to present animations to a desirable client base and to build important contacts for the future.
