China Xiamen Animation Film Festival 2010

In order to promote the animation industry, approved by the Xiamen City Government, hosted by the Xiamen Municipal Government, organized by Organizing committee of 2010 Xiamen International animation festival, the 2010 Xiamen International animation festival will be held in the city of Xiamen from November 4th-7th, 2010. The events are including the Competition of Cyber Sousa Animation Work, Xiamen Animation Forum, films screening, and some other family-supporting activities such as Animation works and technology exhibition, Cosplay performance and E-sports competition.

The competition of Cyber Sousa Animation Works in Xiamen International Animation Festival is the best authoritative and influential event in Chinese Animation Industry that supported by government, industry and academies. With the idea of New Thought, New Art, New Technology, New Industry sparked by the Competition, it encourages the creation of original works actively. In order to promote the development of Chinese original Animation Industry, we are strived to searching the excellent works or talents by appraising through comparison among the domestic and overseas Animation woks. With the slogan of sticking to Chinese national feature and establishing the international Brand, we are trying to create international famous awards in the Competition for Cyber Sousa Animation Work and to setup an exchange platform for International Animation in Xiamen, from which International excellent Animation Works tend to China while Chinese excellent Animation Works tend to the world.

While the Competition for Cyber Sousa Animation Work emphasizes the international Animation exchange, it insists on the specialization and international judging standard. Base itself upon domestic and scan widely on the global, it encourages the original works and searches the fresh power, which promotes the development of Chinese Animation Industry harmoniously.

The Competition will also promote the development of the fresh products as Animation Filmstrip, Experimental Animation, and Animation by the Mobile powerfully. On the one hand, Popular Animation is deep to the heart, on the other hand, the fresh blood and strength will come to Animation Industry which lacks of talents extremely.

As China cultural and creative industry trade exchanges and cooperation platform, we believe that this competition will be the activity of far-reaching significance in the history of China animation industry. We hope that the Xiamen International animation festival will be included in the major international competitions authorized by ASIFA, though training, with participation and concern from both domestic and international enterprises and fans in animation field.

After the very successful 2010 Edition, I'VE SEEN FILMS International Film Festival announced, along with its founder, international artist Rutger Hauer, that the Festival’s 4th Edition will be held from October 5 to 14, 2011 in Milan, Italy.

The deadline to submit films for the 2011 I'VE SEEN FILMS International Film Festival is Monday, April 11, 2011

The 2011 Festival edition competition also anticipates the submission of feature and short films in stereoscopic 3D format.

The competition categories as follows: Fiction, Animation, Experimental, Documentary and Videoclip, which include various sections such as: "Children Are Watching Us", "Things Women Don't Tell", "Dreams and Needs", "Poor But Beautiful", "His Master's Voice".

In addition, there is also a section dedicated to Social Awareness issues, as well as one that deals with themes and images from the Arts, called "Art e-Motion" (painting, sculpture, theater, poetry and literature).

The I'VE SEEN FILMS International Film Festival was founded in 2007 by Rutger Hauer and the goal is to promote, both on a world-wide basis, and through the internet streaming medium, the works of filmmakers desiring powerful exposure and visibility to their films.

The I'VE SEEN FILMS Festival stands out among other film festivals because the film authors can have their works screened in digital high definition. This professional approach allows a superlative high-quality projection which, during the past editions, gathered enthusiastic praises from the audience and film authors alike.

I'VE SEEN FILMS provides a unique platform for up-and-coming filmmakers to demonstrate their artistic capabilities and for the public to recognize their talent. A prestigious Jury of internationally-known film experts enhances the complexity and uniqueness of this Festival.

In an agreement between I'VE SEEN FILMS and Microcinema Digital Network, the competing films are aired via satellite in the 170 theaters of this digital network.

Furthermore, the I'VE SEEN FILMS Internet Contest offers film authors additional exposure to their works, by the assignment of Internet Audience and Internet Jury awards. The 2010 edition totaled 278 online competing works (from 58 countries), that received a staggering number of more than 2,000,000 views.

For the competing film authors, in the true I'VE SEEN FILMS tradition, the Award Evening will evolve into an unforgettable moment that makes them the real protagonists of the Festival.

DMC International is an international competition to promote the innovative uses of new media technologies for the digital audiovisual content and art works. · YOU-TV        : Media Content produced with Mobile Devices, DSLRs, or other personal devices

· VFX-TV         : Media content produced by the integration of live-action footage and CGI, Motion Graphics or Animation.
CATEGORY II: ART + TECH COMPETITION (2 sections)
·  DIGITAL MEDIA ART : Digital media art works which utilizes a variety of advanced media technology including but not limited to interactive technology, AR, physical computing, and/or robotics.
·  MEDIA FAÇADE : Single channel and interactive content in order to be performed in various media façades in DMC area.
