I wanted to share an event with you taking place in March of 2013. The Citrus Cel Animation Film Festival is running a competition called JUICED! This is a 24hr animation competition where teams are given a few texture assets and a theme, and they are given the task of creating an animated short in a mere 24hrs.

This is our second installment of JUICED!, and we would love to get some of you talented animators from the 11 second club to participate. You do not have to be present at the festival to participate and all animation can be done remotely, and submitted to the competitions sponsored YouSendit drop box.

The Citrus Cel Animation Film Festival (Citrus Cel) is a non profit organization that celebrates animation as a cultural and commercial medium with three days of screenings, parties and panels in Jacksonville, Florida. Citrus Cel will act as a hub for students and professionals from the fields of animation, design, illustration, and film, as well as add to the growing cultural landscape of festivals and events in northeast Florida.

The aim of MOGA is to bring modo specialists, users and other people who are interested together in an informal setting. MOGA is all about sharing knowledge. DMC International is an international competition to promote the innovative uses of new media technologies for the digital audiovisual content and art works. · YOU-TV        : Media Content produced with Mobile Devices, DSLRs, or other personal devices

· VFX-TV         : Media content produced by the integration of live-action footage and CGI, Motion Graphics or Animation.
CATEGORY II: ART + TECH COMPETITION (2 sections)
·  DIGITAL MEDIA ART : Digital media art works which utilizes a variety of advanced media technology including but not limited to interactive technology, AR, physical computing, and/or robotics.
·  MEDIA FAÇADE : Single channel and interactive content in order to be performed in various media façades in DMC area.

After the very successful 2010 Edition, I'VE SEEN FILMS International Film Festival announced, along with its founder, international artist Rutger Hauer, that the Festival’s 4th Edition will be held from October 5 to 14, 2011 in Milan, Italy.

The deadline to submit films for the 2011 I'VE SEEN FILMS International Film Festival is Monday, April 11, 2011

The 2011 Festival edition competition also anticipates the submission of feature and short films in stereoscopic 3D format.

The competition categories as follows: Fiction, Animation, Experimental, Documentary and Videoclip, which include various sections such as: "Children Are Watching Us", "Things Women Don't Tell", "Dreams and Needs", "Poor But Beautiful", "His Master's Voice".

In addition, there is also a section dedicated to Social Awareness issues, as well as one that deals with themes and images from the Arts, called "Art e-Motion" (painting, sculpture, theater, poetry and literature).

The I'VE SEEN FILMS International Film Festival was founded in 2007 by Rutger Hauer and the goal is to promote, both on a world-wide basis, and through the internet streaming medium, the works of filmmakers desiring powerful exposure and visibility to their films.

The I'VE SEEN FILMS Festival stands out among other film festivals because the film authors can have their works screened in digital high definition. This professional approach allows a superlative high-quality projection which, during the past editions, gathered enthusiastic praises from the audience and film authors alike.
