The Computer Graphics Society is pleased to announce the Computer Animation and Social Agents 2004
Conference. MIRALab will organize this 17th annual conference on Computer Animation and Social Agents with the support of IFIP WG5.10 (Computer Graphics and Virtual Worlds). The conference tracks include animation techniques, social agents and virtual environments. The Conference will be held in University of Geneva, Switzerland, May 26-28, 2004.

The 1st Annual San Francisco World Film Festival is designed to not only showcase a diverse variety of films from around the world, but also spotlight solutions to world issues as seen through the eyes of filmmakers. The World Solutions segment of the festival features films dealing with solutions to any issue that affects the world. Each show will address solutions. The Marketplace is focused on exploring the revolution that Digital Technologies are bringing to the film industry. Areas of discussion include: how Digital Technologies affect filmmaking today and its future potential, how to make a film using only video technology, and how it's affecting the viewing experience of the general public. The Marketplace will be held at the Palace Of Fine Arts on Thursday October 23. The international event hosts 32 films, including several world premieres. AEAF Sydney 2003 will feature new events including the AEAF Short Film Festival screening films from around the world and Digital Video Fest. Digital Video Fest will showcase the latest technologies and techniques in digital video creation and post-production including: video cameras, editing systems, hardware, software, DVD authoring, lighting, audio, storage and workstations. Since its inception in 1998, the Savannah Film Festival has focused on enriching and educating an expanding audience, while promoting quality independent films and filmmakers. The festival features more than 50 films selected from more than 600 entries in the categories of feature, short, animation, documentary and student competition. The featured screenings represent a variety of independent filmmakers, while a cross section of workshops, lectures, receptions and special events gives the festival participants an opportunity to meet colleagues active in all areas of film production. The San Francisco chapter of SIGGRAPH is pleased to announce the screening of the entire 2003 Electronic Theater. We are proud to be screening the full showing of the Electronic Theater, one of the first times the complete show has been available outside of the conference. The Electronic Theater is the premier computer graphics film and video showcase that is part of the Computer Animation Festival each year at the SIGGRAPH conference. The conference was held in July 2003 in San Diego and as usual the Electronic Theater was one of the favored events.
