Friedman 3D Launches New Maya and After Effects Classes

Friedman 3D will be starting its new semester July 5th, 2005. Instruction will be provided in Alias Maya from 8:00am to 2:40pm Monday through Friday. There will also be an Adobe AfterEffects class that will run from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The cost for classes is $75 and $25 respectively, plus a $25 registration fee. The Alias Maya course will be delivered in two sections by Mr. Vincent Delay, a Maya artist and formerly a CG Supervisor at The Engine Room. Section One will be introductory and will run in the mornings from 8:00am until 11:00am. Section Two will be an intermediate course and will run from 12:00pm to 3:00pm. The class will start Tuesday, July 5th, 2005 and will run until Friday, December 16th, 2005. $75 + $25 reg. fee. Adobe After Effects instruction will be taught by Ms. Nancy LeMay, who has worked as a titles and graphics artist for NBC and a host of other companies. The class will start Tuesday, July 5th, 2005 and will run until Thursday, December 15th, 2005. $25 + $25 reg. fee. Friedman 3D is located at 570 W. Avenue 26, Suite 425, Los Angeles, CA 90065 and is a non-profit, collaborative venture between Studio Arts and LAUSD's Venice Skills Center. Friedman 3D offers low-cost, high-end training in computer animation, visual effects and other graphics classes to provide artists an affordable alternative to expensive CG learning. Special Maya Instructional Program

Studio Arts of Los Angeles, CA will be host to a special group of ALIAS MAYA seminars, classes and workshops that will begin Monday, October 17th, 2005 and end Friday, December 16, 2005.

Maya instruction will be from introductory level to intermediate and advanced workshops in everything from modeling and textures to rigging, animation and more. Classes will meet from 8am-3pm Mon. through Fri.

As it is a special subsidized program it will cost the participants $75 plus a $25 reg. fee. Studio Arts normally charges $10,000 per semester for the same level of training.

You must qualify as an artist in need to enter this program. Emphasis will be on producing a demo reel and paricipation in a CG project is mandatory. Deadline for registration is October 14th. Email f3d@studioarts.tv for more info.
