Cinekid for Professionals is a four day event (26 to 29 October) held during the nine day kids festival. Over 300 makers, financers, producers, distributors and buyers come to Amsterdam to inspire each other and enter into co productions and joint ventures. They close deals, network, watch new films and programmes and find new partners. Cinekid for Professionals consists of co production markets, the ScreeningClub (Buyers Market) and the Cinekid for Professionals Conference.

The professional program of the 25th edition of Cinekid, the Film, Television and New Media festival for children will take place October 18th - 21st 2011 in Amsterdam and we are now open for entries.

Submit your completed film and television productions for the ScreeningClub, where 250+ new productions will be screened by children’s media professionals from all over the world.

Also, please submit projects in development to The Junior Cinekid Co-Production Markets.

The markets bring together cutting edge producers with international financiers for a day of one-on-one meetings to further development and production of Cross Media, TV and Film projects.

Deadline for submitting an entry and accreditation is August 15th 2011.

Córdoba International Animation Festival - ANIMA, is both an academic and cultural event, devoted specifically to animation in its artistic and technological dimensions. ANIMA merges the energy, enthusiasm and joy of an Animation Festival with the scientific aspects of a Conference. Held every odd year since 2001, ANIMA is the main animation event in Argentina and a very influential player in its field in Latin America and the Caribbean.

 

ANIMA is no ordinary event. Its main objective is to gather creative individuals devoted to the art and craft of animation into a meeting point where all discussion and exchange can be directed into the scope of animation, in its many dimensions of analysis: as artistic expression, as cultural industry, as educational resource, as corpus for research, etc… Or just as fun!

The Festival is open to animation films of every genre, topic, format and screening media (film, video, television, Internet). Special interest is granted to those works where the filmmaker’s expressive intention stands out from marketing requirements; and also to school productions. Participation is open for artists all over the world, with special interest in those from Latin America. There is no limit in the number of works an author can send, but a separate Entry Form must be completed for each work, and shipping instructions must be respected.

There is no entry fee.

FLORIDA SUPERCON: South Florida's Comic Book, Anime, Animation, Video Game, Fantasy and Sci-Fi Convention returns June 18-20, 2010 to the Doubletree Miami Mart Airport Convention Center in Miami, FL.

Florida Supercon is a 3 day festival dedicated to Comic Books, Anime, Animation, Video Games, Fantasy and Sci-Fi featuring celebrity guests, comic book creators, voice actors, industry guests, cosplayers, artists, writers, panels, Q&A's, films & shorts, costume & cosplay contests, vendors, parties, anime, workshops, video gaming and more! 2010 is the 5th annual Florida Supercon.

 

The Florida Supercon Film Festival is a festival dedicated to films that would be appreciated by our diverse genre audience. We are looking for Animation, Horror, Horror Comedy, Documentary (about genre subjects), Comedies with a genre twist, Fantasy, Magic Realism, Science Fiction and Spoof. American films will be screened side by side with international entries the weekend of June 18-20, 2010 in Miami, FL. at Florida Supercon: South Florida's festival of Comic Books, Anime, Animation, Sci-Fi and Video Games.

Films will be judged in the following specific categories:
1)  Feature Films (over 50 minutes)
2)  Short Films (under 50 minutes)
3) Internet / Web Based Short (Short Made for Internet distribution and exhibition)
4) Documentary Film (Full Length or Short Format Documentary Film)
5)  Student Competition (Films made by students who are either enrolled in a school, or were enrolled during the films’ production.)
 This section will be broken into the following categories
(a)  High School: Films directed by students attending high school, generally stretching from ages 15-18
(b) Undergraduate: Films directed by students enrolled in a college level program
Graduate students may enter in the regular Feature Film or Short Film categories

“US-Korea Digital Entertainment Investment Forum”

On behalf of Minister Knowledge of Economy and KOTRA (Korea Trade–Investment Promotion Agency), it is our privilege to invite you to “US-Korea Digital Entertainment Investment Forum,” as part of KMCM USA 2009 at the Los Angeles Marriott Downtown Hotel on December 4th.

Animatu is an animation festival dedicated to digital. The festival holds an international Short competition, with some categories open only for Portuguese schools, Workshops and talks will also be held, among other activities. There are no entry fees. Anime Supercon (ASC) is now Animation Supercon, as it returns for a 4th year to an all new, bigger & better location; the Doubletree Miami Airport Hotel and Convention Center. Animation Supercon will replace Anime Supercon as the shows focus shifts to encompass the entire animation world, and not just Japanese anime. Set for October 2-4, Animation Supercon is a three day festival and convention dedicated to Animation, Cartoons, Anime, Comic Books and Video Games. Animation Supercon will feature celebrity guests, artists, animators, writers, vendors, Q&A's, parties, costume contests, anime programming, cosplay, panels, photo shoots, live music, video games and more as it takes over 100,000+ square feet of the Doubletree Miami Airport Hotel and Convention Center. In its second year, this prestigious week-long speaker series, educational forum and film festival informs and inspires professionals, pioneers and enthusiasts in the world of animation. The event has attracted a coveted speaker line-up of some of the most talented animators and innovators from both close to home and far afield: Jimmy Hayward & Steve Martino (Blue Sky), Mark Osborne & John Stevenson (DreamWorks), Paul Topolos (Pixar) and Paul Harrod (Bent Image Lab).
