"Artists Needed," a new nonprofit group is looking for a few volunteer artists for an upcoming New York City event. "Comic Book Idol" is an amateur art competition hosted by CBR. The second edition will be hosted by J. Torres, author of the "Open Your Mouth" column at CBR (www.comicbookresources.com). It's a five-week, five-round contest in which contestants will be asked to complete an art assignment each week by a deadline. Their art will be posted in a CBR forum designed especially for judges to post comments on and critique said art, as well as for CBR readers to view and vote on their favorites.
