Submit an original TV pilot to the New York Television Festival and you could win a guaranteed development deal from MTV, IFC, or FX!

 

The 2011 NYTVF Independent Pilot Competition:

The NYTVF accepts original television pilots from 4 to 22 minutes in length in all categories and genres, both scripted and unscripted, live-action and animated, traditional or digital formats.

 

Cash prizes and guaranteed development deals will be awarded to 2011 NYTVF Official Selections: 

IFC "Out of the Box" Comedy Award - Winner receives a $25,000 development deal from IFC.

MTV "Voice and Vision" Animation Awards - The awards will be presented to an outstanding comedic writer ("Voice") and animator ("Vision"). Each winner will receive a $5000 development deal from MTV.

FX & Apostle “There Is No Box" Comedy Award - Winner receives a $25,000 development deal from FX.

Sergio Paez is a San Francisco artist specializing in storyboards, animation, and visual development for TV, feature film, and games. His animation credits in the United States and Europe include projects for Pixar, Lucasfilm, Sony, and Sega.

Sergio’s work was featured in “The Art of Clone Wars” published by Chronicle Books, “The Art of Darkwatch” published by Design Studio Press, and the Totoro Forest Project Art Exhibition. Sergio recently finished up work on season 3 of the Clone Wars Animated Series for Lucas Animation

Languages & The Media is a biennial international conference dedicated to the subject of language transfer in a changing media landscape (Video, DVD, digital TV, cinema and social networks). The conference themes include innovations and latest developments in dubbing, subtitling, voice-over and translation for the media. Participants of this year’s conference will discuss pivotal topics such as the impact of Facebook, MySpace, and other social networks on audiovisual media.
