The Bradford Animation Festival (BAF!) is a project of the National Museum of
Photography, Film and Television in England. BAF! is looking specifically for new
animation from all over the world in its eight competitive categories. All submitted
films will be considered for screening and for the eight Festival Awards. The
categories are: Non-Professional under 16; Experimental; Promotional/Commercial;

First Roma Cinema Web Festival

This Festival has six categories: features, shorts, TV fiction, cartoons, shorts and documentaries. One panel of judges will be composed of show business and communications professionals and the other by Internet users. The winning works will be presented on the Website for the rest of the year; the works that are not selected for the festival will be presented on-line for a limited period of time immediately after the event.

The 7th World Animation Celebration

As the main attraction, WAC will present awards to the best new animated works from around the world. The World Animation Celebration will present a trade show, an international business conference, world and American film premieres, seminars, symposiums, tributes, salutes to new European animation, special programs on new computer animation and a survey of the world's best animated commercials.

and Sciences, the International Emmy Awards acknowledge the special skills of the
men and women who create and produce television programs outside of the United
States. Awards are presented in seven categories of programming: Drama,

People, and News Coverage.

The Silicon Pulp Animation Gallery will present Atomic Sushi, a major exhibition of artworks from Japanese animated films and TV series. The exhibition will include pre-production illustrations, storyboards, original hand-painted cels and backgrounds. A comprehensive catalogue covering the history, themes and artists will also be published to coincide with the exhibition. Also, the Dendy Cinemas are holding a "Japanime Festival" from Wednesday, September 6 - Sunday, September 10 as part of the Sydney Olympic Arts Festival.
