Enter web competition HAFFTube! For the second time the Holland Animation Film Festival presents an International competition for web animations. HAFFTube is our official channel within YouTube. That's where it all happens. Flash, Machinima, Brickfilms, this competition is open for all animation films available online! How does it work? Please read the regulations carefully and note that your film should be uploaded on YouTube before submitting the entry form. HAFF will rate the films that have been entered for competition. This starts from September 7th onward. When we have reached our set limit of 50 films, the official voting begins. Every week, films will be voted out by the HAFF-staff, to create possibilities for new entries. And so HAFFTube will gradually fill-up with animated films from all over the world. Deadline for entries is October 15, 2009. An International jury of filmmakers selects the winner out of the final 50 titles. III ASTERFEST 2007

We have the pleasure to inform You that we are approaching the final stage of the preparations for the new, third edition of our new festival in the Macedonian country, as well as in the region and beyond, dedicated to the professional film (documentary and fiction) culture and emphasizing its affirmation, popularization and valorization towards the audience.
It is about the initiative for AsterFest, film and video festival, focusing on documentary, fiction (features or shorts) works of film authors who are coming from or living in Western Balkan region, neighbor countries and other related meridians.
We invited and receive films from several productions which submitted film-s for our forthcoming festival. It may be long or short-length film. We will present it into the programs: ASTERDOCS, BALKANS FICTION, NEuCOMERS, DOMA, HOMMAGES - focused on authors from southeastern European, EU countries and abroad.
We plan that the third edition of AsterFest 2007 will officially take place in the period 28-31 May on several locations in the Macedonian town of Strumica, where several other cultural areas will be renewed, related to the climate, ancient values and constant spiritual wideness, which have provided existence to this town for more then two millenniums. The 4th Bitfilm Festival for digital film and new media shows films that use digital technology in a creative and innovative way. There are five categories:

Digital Features
Films of min. 90 minutes which use 3D animation and digital effects as an artistic means.

Bit Shorts
Short films, music videos and ads which use 3D animation and digital effects as an artistic means.

Flash
Linear films and interactive works made with Macromedia Flash.

Machinima
Films that are animated in real time using game environments.

Micromovies
Films of max. 60 seconds that are custom-made for mobile devices like cell phones, PDAs etc.

There will be a total of 45,000 Euros in prize money awarded. Entry deadline: July 1, 2003. There is no entry fee.

The DC Anime Club and the Japan Information and Culture Center (JICC), Embassy of Japan Present BLEACH THE MOVIE: MEMORIES OF NOBODY on Friday October 24, 2008 at 6:30pm as part of the Anime/Live Action Series based upon Manga (Japanese Comics).

In Karakura Town, there has been a sudden outbreak of unidentifiable spirits called "blanks" (vacant souls) while in the skies of Soul Society, the real world has been reflected. A mysterious female shinigami called Senna has appeared before Ichigo along with a man named Ganryu, leading a group called the "Dark Ones."

The screening will be held at the Japanese Information and Culture Center, Embasy of Japan located at Lafayette Center III 1155 21st Street, NW Washington, DC 20036-3308. Seating for the screening of BLEACH THE MOVIE is limited and attendees are encouraged to RSVP by sending an e-mail to jiccrsvpfall08@embjapan.org.

Portland Indy Animation Festival 2003

The Portland Indy Animation Festival 2003 is now accepting competitive and non-competitive entries. The Festival celebrates independent animators around the world, the more independent and original, the better. Submissions can include all aspects of animation including 3D, 2D, machinima, stop-motion, filmed puppetry (in all its forms) and interpretations of the art of animation. Format of submissions must be provided on one of the following: DVD, SVCD, VCD, VHS (PAL/SECAM/NTSC) and MiniDV. Entries need to be received by July 31, 2003. Entries submitted for the competition will be evaluated by judges and the audience. There will be awards handed out to those present on the last day of the festival. The Festival will take place at several venues August 24-26, 2003 in Portland, Oregon, USA.

Design Festa is an international art event open to all artists from all over the world to exhibit their creative talent. Anyone who has original work can take part and express themselves through this freestyle event. There are no restrictions. 2,600 booths will be set up in the event hall. This free-style exhibition is open to all mediums for exhibition, presentation and sale.
