Aniboom (www.aniboom.com), the premier multi-platform animation network that partners with untapped animation talent from around the world to create independent animated content for global distribution, is holding its 2007 Aniboom Awards. Animators can enter work in five categories, with no limit to the number of categories or submissions per entrant. Categories include Funny, Drama, Music Videos, Amateur and Experimental. Each month for four months, one winner from each category will join the finalist pool. From there, a winner will be chosen from each category to compete for the grand prize. Prizes include a $25,000 original series development deal, $3,000 to each category winner, Toonboom Software (valued at $7,000) and exposure to some of the most renowned industry executives. The Aniboom Awards will be judged by entertainment executives and animation industry veterans, including multi-award-winning animator and Oscar nominee Paul Driessen. In 2006, the Annual Aniboom Awards received more than 1,700 entries from more than 70 countries in its inaugural year. Winner Jossie Malis took home $25,000 for his animation BENDITO MACHINE. Enter web competition HAFFTube! For the second time the Holland Animation Film Festival presents an International competition for web animations. HAFFTube is our official channel within YouTube. That's where it all happens. Flash, Machinima, Brickfilms, this competition is open for all animation films available online! How does it work? Please read the regulations carefully and note that your film should be uploaded on YouTube before submitting the entry form. HAFF will rate the films that have been entered for competition. This starts from September 7th onward. When we have reached our set limit of 50 films, the official voting begins. Every week, films will be voted out by the HAFF-staff, to create possibilities for new entries. And so HAFFTube will gradually fill-up with animated films from all over the world. Deadline for entries is October 15, 2009. An International jury of filmmakers selects the winner out of the final 50 titles. The Portland Indy Animation Festival 2003 is now accepting competitive and non-competitive entries. The Festival celebrates independent animators around the world, the more independent and original, the better. Submissions can include all aspects of animation including 3D, 2D, machinima, stop-motion, filmed puppetry (in all its forms) and interpretations of the art of animation. Format of submissions must be provided on one of the following: DVD, SVCD, VCD, VHS (PAL/SECAM/NTSC) and MiniDV. Entries need to be received by July 31, 2003. Entries submitted for the competition will be evaluated by judges and the audience. There will be awards handed out to those present on the last day of the festival. The Festival will take place at several venues August 24-26, 2003 in Portland, Oregon, USA.

The Ottawa International Animation Festival (OIAF 04) is North America's oldest and largest animation festival. The festival is broken up into four umbrella categories. The first is for animated feature films. The New Media Competition covers Animation Short Made for the Internet, Internet series, interactive animation and "Machinima," films made with video game software. Commissioned Films Competition covers educational, scientific or industrial film, advertising film, station-program identification, music video, television special, television pilot, television series for adults and television series for children. Independent Short Films Competition covers narrative short film under 35 minutes, non-narrative short film under 35 minutes, first film and films made for children. The changes for 2004 include an expanded range of new media categories -- growing from one generic to four sub-categories -- and additional TV categories. Traditionally shown out of competition as a program enhancement, the feature film category was first introduced at the last OIAF held in 2002, and is expected to draw even more entries this time around. Overall, a record 1,700 entries were received for OIAF 02, the most entries ever received by any international animation festival. Approximately 100 more films, selected from an anticipated 1,500+ entries, will be shown during the festival's showcase programs. The International Short Showcase, the International TV Showcase, the Canadian Short Showcase, the Canadian TV Showcase and the first-ever Kids Animation Showcase will comprise this out-of-competition series. Founded in 1976, and held biennially ever since, the OIAF attracts international animators, producers, broadcasters, and enthusiasts to Ottawa to view films entered in and out of competition, and attend special screenings and workshops that ponder the current state and future of animation. The Academy of Machinima Arts & Sciences (AMAS), an organization that provides advocacy, education and community building awareness for the entertainment medium known as Machinima: the art or technique of filmmaking using real-time 3D virtual environments, has teamed up with NVIDIA

The Cries for Peace competition invites you to enter your pictures or short film for the chance of winning an Award and recognition for your work. The competition aims to collect positive expressions of peace. Selected images collected will be showcased as part of the London Week of Peace 2008 and the winner will be chosen by a public vote August 15-September 9, 2008. The competition aims to be a positive response to the far too many unfortunate stories in the media about young people and crime, particularly violent crime leading to fatalities.

Entry is free. Films should be no longer than 90 seconds. Films shot on cell phones and digital cameras are welcome. The winner will be revealed at the Peace Awards Dinner on September 18.

P.I.A.F.F. is Potenza International Animation Film Festival that will be made in Potenza (Italy) next 25/26/27/28 October 2006.
