MITV - International TV Market is the first independent international market for TV productions in Latin America. The event is a place where people who produce, distribute or exhibit series, documentaries, animations or motion pictures can connect. The event comprises two days of meetings where TV stations, cable channels, independent producers, distributors, government and international guests will be able to meet and exchange ideas, watch finished programs and ongoing projects, and discuss the issues that are moving local and global markets.

Production companies with completed or in-progress projects can present them at MITV Screenings, a special show for buyers, and producers. Producers, distributors and broadcasters can attend pitching sessions of an unusual kind, with the participation of producers who do not normally have access to top-tier international markets. The well-known and popular Brazil Programming & Production Forum, to be held this year in parallel with MITV. Attendees will have access to first-class presentations and debates in the company of highly qualified professionals from Brazil, the U.S., Canada, France, Sweden, Spain, Portugal and elsewhere. FIAE 2008 - Third International Festival of Erotic Animation

The FIAE 2008 - Third International Festival of Erotic Animation will be held November 6-14, 2008 at the Museum of Modern Art in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The festival intends to stimulate the public exhibition of animation that are neither distributed nor exhibited within Brazil traditional circuits. The FIAE will be dedicated to the feature and short films of animation. Sex, love and erotica will be the key themes of the streamed international and national videos exhibited at the FIAE 2008.

Before each session, the public will vote for the animation that will be shown. The film receiving the most votes will be announced in the awards party that will happen in the last day of the festival. Some animations will be exhibited online.

On October 23 and 30 and again on November 6, 13 and 20, from 6-9:30 p.m., the Nucleo de Animacao Digital da UCS -- NADUCS and Marko Ajdaric, editor of art newsletter NEORAMA DOS QUADRINHOS, will show long and short films, and talk online with film directors. October 23: SIGMUND, a short film by Vanessa Remonti, will be shown for the first time in Caxias do Sul. Remonti lives in Caxias do Sul and her film will first be shown at the third Granimado. Short films by Daniel Messias on his work for Cartoon Network and a trailer of his upcoming film TRES AMIGOS. Screening of DOSSIE RE BORDOSA, a film by Cesar Cabral (2008). Anim!Arte 2009 - Brazilian Student Animation Festival

Anim!Arte is an international film festival of animation movies with focus in the student public. It has as objective to stimulate the culture, as soon as the professional artistic grown, of the Animation Business in Brazil. This has been instrumental in the production of animation movies, mainly among students.

During the event, competitive film festivals of movies made by students assemblage prizes for the winners. Although, there is a parallel film festival with professional moviemakers, Brazilian and international, that complete this group of selected movies.
The best international animation done by a student (outside Brazil) wins the original Animarte´s Tropical Trophy.
Usually, the programmation also has lectures with professionals of the animation and of the audiovisual business, besides expositions and workshops of animation.
Besides the Film Festivals, Anim!Arte also produces animation workshops in different formats, in the institutions which receive the itinerant circuit.

The Digital Media Innovations Conference has a full program dedicated to animation, 3D visualization and multimedia and telecommunications convergence. In animation, the conference will feature seminars on digital technologies, 3D animation software developments, cutting edge of digital visual effects, CG 4 kids' programming, tools for animating the Web, storytelling for the digital age and future opportunities in new media. In 3D visualization, the event will hold discussion on: applied parallel processing and scientific data visualization; virtual reality in education and training; visualization and simulation in engineering; new media and medicine; interactive data exchange; enabling the architects and designers of the future; and HDTV, interactive TV and digital TV.
