The Haydenfilms Online Film Festival is open to all student and independent films that have been created for production of all media. All genres will be accepted for review, including shorts, animation, experimental and documentary. All qualified films will be shown on the Haydenfilms Online Film Festival Website beginning June 30, 2005 through August 30, 2005. Grand prize Online Film Festival winner will receive $10,000. Top three finalists will receive a HF Filmmaker's prize package including Movie Magic Screenwriter software by Write Brothers, and other affiliate prizes valuing up to $1,500. Zoom Girl Media is accepting entries for its first competition to name outstanding lesbian-themed comedy short films. Filmmakers are invited to submit original comedies, 10 minutes or under in length, dealing with lesbian themes and related cultural and social issues. Films will be judged on originality of subject matter, production values, technical excellence and overall merit.

A panel of senior entertainment industry executives and creative talent will judge the entries. Winners in three competitive categories will receive cash prizes and their films will be screened at special events in Los Angeles and New York.

The Second Annual Haydenfilms Online Film Festival welcomes all student and independent films of any genre. A judging panel consisting of film experts and professors from New York University, Central Michigan University, Ohio University School of Film, Rochester Institute of Technology and others will critique each film to elect the finalists that will have their films showcased on the site for two months. Each finalist will receive a Haydenfilms Marketing Kit including merchandise and materials to promote their film on the Haydenfilms website. Members of Haydenfilms are able to view, vote, and write reviews on the films, and the film with the highest average score from valid votes will be awarded the $10,000 grand prize at the awards ceremony at the Director's Guild Theater. United Nations of Animation Online Event

Join the United Nations of Animation in its first experimental project: to create a series of randomly compiled, short animations consisting of original contributions from participants all over the world. To participate, download one of our character files at cias/rit.edu/~UNoA and create an original animation using Flash, Maya, or other animation software. Your finished file can then be emailed to UNoA.Rit@gmail.com. Entries will be accepted between February 5 - 19, 2007. Submitted files will be combined to create a completely unique sequence of animations.

Filmaka.com: An Online Short Film Competition

Filmaka's aim is to encourage and inspire filmmakers from all around the globe with its upcoming May competition. Its new theme is "The Game." Film entries must run between 1-3 minutes in length and can be in any language (English subtitles are encouraged). Each month the top 15-20 Filmaka's win cash prizes and the chance show their filmmaking talent to its award-winning jury. Jurors include Colin Firth, Werner Herzog, Neil LaBute, John Madden, Paul Shrader and Wim Wenders. The jury picks three winners every month. There are more prizes and all three are allowed to compete in our 'Filmaka of the Year' contest at the end of 2007, where one director wins a feature film deal. Entry is free to all students.
