Send us your short features, animations, trash movies, documentaries, music videos, etc. We bring everything on screen that is freaky, crafty, slick, hard-boiled, and witty! Anything is allowed - as long as it's short and cheap!

 

As a short film festival for low & no budget productions, ClipAward explicitly addresses independent filmmakers who make films without big money. Therefore, your submissions may not be produced within the scope of media studies and exceed 500€ per minute. The maximum length is 15 minutes. The shorts have to be subtitled in German or English.

 

The festival takes place from April 26th-28th, 2013 in the Mannheim Palace, Germany.

Kinematifest is Webster University’s International Animation and Interactive Media festival. Our mission is to showcase student work and foster a worldwide interest in animation and interactive media. We strive to give students an opportunity to have their work critiqued by industry professionals, facilitate networking opportunities and advocate learning through workshops and seminars. Additionally, we hope to provide a fun, warm, and welcoming atmosphere for all attendees.

The 22th International Animated Film Festival « Les Nuits Magiques » will takes place in the following places from 2012, december 5th to 18th : « Le Festival » movie theater in Bègles, « Utopia » movie theater in Bordeaux, « L'Entrepôt » auditorium in Le Haillan, « Simonde Signoret » center in Canéjan, the « Maison des Arts » in the Bordeaux 3 University.

The festival goal is to show the diversity of animation, screening animated short and feature films which come from all over the world and which use diferents animation techniques.

All animated short and feature films are eligible if they are directed after 2009 december the 31th.

We only can accept 35mm print (optical sound), DCP print or DVD as screening copies. We only can accept 35mm film if the print is allready in France or in Europe during the festival period. Otherwise, the film will be screen on DVD.

Foreign films are eligible only if they are subtitled in french, with french dialogues or without dialogues.

Entry form will be available on our website www.lesnuitsmagiques.fr. No registration fee is required.

Hey All,

I wanted to share an event with you taking place in March of 2013. The Citrus Cel Animation Film Festival is running a competition called JUICED! This is a 24hr animation competition where teams are given a few texture assets and a theme, and they are given the task of creating an animated short in a mere 24hrs.

This is our second installment of JUICED!, and we would love to get some of you talented animators from the 11 second club to participate. You do not have to be present at the festival to participate and all animation can be done remotely, and submitted to the competitions sponsored YouSendit drop box.

Participate in the 17th edition of the BARCELONA INTERNATIONAL AUDIOVISUAL FESTIVAL in November 2013.

We invite directors, screenwriters, producers, and students to submit their audiovisuals for all ages. Any type of audiovisual will be entered into pre-selection with photochemical or electronic media support. The audiovisuals competing for the Humanitarian prize should contain certain humanitarian values which favor democratic coexistence and growth of social citizenry, especially directed toward children or about childhood.

THEME: Children and youth – values that favor coexistence – all genres
-Productions for children and youth, productions about children and/or those that deal with childhood issues
-Productions made by children or teens in a framework of media literacy
-Productions made by students in audiovisual schools or universities
-Productions of general subject matter, for all audiences, that contain values and favor coexistence.

As in previous years, we are particularly interested in audiovisuals and that not only entertain but also educate and teach. The prestigious HUMANITARIAN and CREATIVE prize categories will be awarded.

Included this year:
-Professional Area, organized by the Association of Audiovisual Professionals of Catalunya (CPAC)
-Visit to the CaixaForum Mediatheque and CaixaForum exhibits
- Workshop and feature films in the afternoon

Animation Showcase @ San Diego Asian Film Festival 2012San Diego, California, USANovember 1-9, 2012Regular Submission Deadline: May 11, 2012Final Extended Deadline: May 25, 2012Attention animators! The 13th Annual San Diego Asian Film Festival 2012 will once again be showcasing animated short films produced by animators of Asian ethnicities in a 90-minute all-animation program. All forms of animation (traditional, claymation, stop-motion, flash, CGI, etc) will be accepted for consideration into this competitive festival. Films by all animators (of all ethnicities) pertaining to Asian issues and themes will also be considered. Please submit DVD screeners for consideration. If selected, all films will be screened in glorious HD 1080p format. A Best Animated Short Film Award will be awarded with prizes to be determined.The year 2012 will be SDAFF's 13th year of celebrating the best in Asian Cinema in sunny San Diego. Last year, SDAFF screened over 150 films in 8 days with many industry celebrities in attendance. The all-animation program was a resounding success with 2 sold out shows due to popular demand. David Chai's "Enrique Wrecks The World" took the Best Animated Short Award. Help make SDAFF a success again by submitting your animation and spreading the word to your friends and associates who may also be interested. Thank you.

The SDAF showcases unique independent animation from all over the world as well as commercial content from the region. The SoDak Fest also hosts special guest artists to share ideas and inspiration with the public audience. Animation workshops are also held for festival attendees and members of the community. For a visiting animator, the hospitality can't be beat.  Student work is especially emphasized to support animation education. Prizes are awarded in the form of the coveted "Golden Cowbell Award"!

J.J. Sedelmaier is already on-board as a 2012 special guest!  Past special guest artists include animators David Chai, Bill Plympton, Patrick Smith, filmmaker and animator PES, indie filmmaker Todd Rohal and Reid Thompson, creative director from Troika Design Group! 

The SDAF is operated by faculty, staff and student volunteers of South Dakota State University, The Animation Club of South Dakota State University and the surrounding community. SUbmission fees go toward the animator travel assistance fund.  The 2012 festival is sponsored by the Department of Visual Arts at South Dakota State University, Daktronics Inc., and The National Endowment for the Arts.
