Storyopolis will feature portrait drawing classes for adults beginning July 15, 2003 to be held Tuesday and Thursday evenings through July 24, 2003. A unique, interactive, intensive 2-day advanced character development workshop conducted as part of the Psychomechanics European Training Tour. MTA Metro Art is holding the 2004 Neighborhood Poster Series. The selected artworks will be reproduced in a range of poster formats and displayed throughout the Metro system including stations, trains, buses and various other locations. Please note that this is a qualification based call so no proposals are requested. Eligibility is limited to Los Angeles County-based professional artists and illustrators.

A panel of artists, arts administrators, graphic designers and communications professionals will review all submittals and select up to 10 finalists to develop artwork in response to a specific assignment and given one month to complete the artwork. From these finalists, up to five artists will be contracted by MTA and their original artwork will be reproduced into posters. The 5 artists will receive $3,000 and all finalists $500.
