Voice director MJ Lallo will be holding a series of voice over workshops focusing on learning deeper character work, visualization and physicalization along with character improv. Participants will read current feature animation scripts like SHREK. To join, one must have taken voice classes with Lallo or other reputable VO schools or instructors. Three classes will be with Lallo and two classes will be with guest directors Bob Bergen: voice of Pork Pig, Bill Farmer: voice of Goofy, and Rocky Solotoff: owner, voice director of Toon Makers, producers of series such as THE ADVENTURES OF OLIVER TWIST, SPY DOGS, BAD DOG, FLINT THE TIME DETECTIVE, DINAZOURS and MON COLLE KNIGHTS. The five classes will be every Wednesday from 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm at Mj Productions, 4020 W. Magnolia Blvd. Suite K, Burbank, California. This one-day intensive workshop, presented by the Toronto Animated Image Society, is designed as a broad introduction for those interested in starting their own business and/or selling your skills as a freelancer. It will explain how to deal with GST, PST, legal registration, licensing, zoning and bylaws. Emphasis will be placed on saving money on taxes, getting organized, tapping into various consultants and government help centers. This workshop is especially useful for anyone interested in setting up their own film production company or planning a film shoot. Speaker Christine Whitlock is a writer/producer/director who has also been teaching business courses since 1981. She has two businesses that do consulting, write scripts, publish books and create events. She belongs to the Hamilton, Burlington and Oakville Chambers of Commerce. The price of the workshop is $25 for TAIS members and $35 for the public. The event will begin at 11:00 am and go until 5:00 pm with a one-hour lunch break.
