Buttonwood Art Space in Kansas City, Missouri is proud to present "Animation & Imagination"; an original one-of-a-kind collection of line art, cartoon cells, fine art in all media depicting images inspired by Walt Disney, his legacy and his influence on generations of artists. We seek artwork in all media that is original, colorful and reveals how you were influenced by Disney, but not material that might be trade marked or infringe on artistic copyrights owned by others.

The event will run June 1st through July 27, 2012 with a VIP and First Friday Reception on June 1st. All artwork submitted must be original, remain for the duration of the show and be for sale. Juried entries will be sold at commission level of 50% to artist/50% to Thank You Walt Disney organization. Buttonwood Art Space will forego any commission for this benefit. 7th Byron Bay International Film Festival March 1st to 10th 2013

The 2013 BBFF will screen for 10 days in beautiful sub-tropical Byron Bay. The first place in Australia to see the sun, Byron Bay provides an exotically beautiful backdrop for the festival,  with world-class beaches only a short stroll from the venue. BBFF provides an opportunity for filmmakers to present their work at a truly distinctive film festival.

This Festival attracts International filmmakers, directors, producers, performers, cultural tourists and prominent members of Australia’s film industry, not to mention a wealth of appreciative audience members. The range of films and genres screened are diverse and dynamic. 

The festival’s organisers are passionate about supporting independent filmmakers in all stages of their careers. They firmly believe in the creation of positive opportunities to showcase the fresh and amazing works of talented creatives to an open intelligent audience as well as to some well connected highly respected Judges.

The festival features an award for the Best Young Australian Filmmaker and is open to Australian Directors and Producers under 25. It also offers young Australian filmmakers reduced entry fees for their films. All accepted Filmmakers are encouraged to attend the festival.

Through-out 5 venues BBFF2012 featured 47 public screenings many of which featured introductions and Q & A sessions by attending filmmakers, free workshops & panels, industry networking functions, Schools Screenings, family-friendly films, free showcases of experimental films plus a popular a balcony bar for the audience to mix with filmmakers. The festival hosted 16 World Premieres, 107 Australian Premiere’s, and over 200 films from 39 countries. Two highlights of the Festival are always the Gala Red Carpet Opening and Closing Nights with catered parties which always attract full houses.

All films entered will automatically be considered for nomination in any award categories that the film might qualify for during the selection process. BBFF awards include but are not limited to Best Film,
Documentary, Short Film, Drama, Cinematography, Surf Film, Animation, Experimental Film, Environmental Film, Music Video, Best Young Australian Filmmaker (open to Australian Director’s under 25) & an award for the Best Local Film. Filmmakers are encouraged to use the

The Byron Bay International Film Festival is open to films of all lengths and all genres. Films in competition must have been completed after Jan 1st 2010.

Send us your short features, animations, trash movies, documentaries, music videos, etc. We bring everything on screen that is freaky, crafty, slick, hard-boiled, and witty! Anything is allowed - as long as it's short and cheap!

 

As a short film festival for low & no budget productions, ClipAward explicitly addresses independent filmmakers who make films without big money. Therefore, your submissions may not be produced within the scope of media studies and exceed 500€ per minute. The maximum length is 15 minutes. The shorts have to be subtitled in German or English.

 

The festival takes place from April 26th-28th, 2013 in the Mannheim Palace, Germany.

Participate in the 17th edition of the BARCELONA INTERNATIONAL AUDIOVISUAL FESTIVAL in November 2013.

We invite directors, screenwriters, producers, and students to submit their audiovisuals for all ages. Any type of audiovisual will be entered into pre-selection with photochemical or electronic media support. The audiovisuals competing for the Humanitarian prize should contain certain humanitarian values which favor democratic coexistence and growth of social citizenry, especially directed toward children or about childhood.

THEME: Children and youth – values that favor coexistence – all genres
-Productions for children and youth, productions about children and/or those that deal with childhood issues
-Productions made by children or teens in a framework of media literacy
-Productions made by students in audiovisual schools or universities
-Productions of general subject matter, for all audiences, that contain values and favor coexistence.

As in previous years, we are particularly interested in audiovisuals and that not only entertain but also educate and teach. The prestigious HUMANITARIAN and CREATIVE prize categories will be awarded.

Included this year:
-Professional Area, organized by the Association of Audiovisual Professionals of Catalunya (CPAC)
-Visit to the CaixaForum Mediatheque and CaixaForum exhibits
- Workshop and feature films in the afternoon
