Rare uncut 16mm prints of films by J. Stuart Blackton, Paul Terry, Emil Cohl, Winsor McCay, Max Fleischer, Walt Disney, Otto Mesmer, Ladislaus Starevitch, Raoul Barre, Tex Avery, Friz Freleng, Bob Clampett, Chuck Jones, Shamus Culhane, Walter Lantz and many more.

Screenings are Sundays at 4pm.

THE BIG SNOOZE was Bob Clampett's last Bugs Bunny film. His name was left off the credits as he had left the studio. Today this film has been censored for television and home video. This is your chance to see it as Clampett made it. Bob Clampett visited Toronto in 1979 for a three day event, ANIMAFEASTIVAL, sponsored by Reg Hartt. The talks he gave have been transcribed and published. A copy is available from The Cineforum for $25 plus $10 shipping and handling from The Cineforum. The Waterloo Festival for Animated Cinema is an annual film festival founded to promote appreciation for animation as a viable medium for sophisticated, cinematic storytelling, and to review, celebrate and enjoy animated feature films as works of art. The Festival is currently non-competitive, but Festival viewers vote for and appoint a "People's Choice" for their favourite film. There is no entrance fee. Acceptable exhibition formats include 35mm and digital theatre; hi-def or other high-quality video may also be accepted provided the complete unavailability in theatrical formats.
