The Interactive TV & Online Learning Conference gives the education field and technology sector an opportunity to share ideas and new developments in the world of interactive learning. The conference's key areas of focus will be: strategic issues; the role of agencies in advertising the education industry; the different digital TV platforms available; market reactions; the effects of new distribution channels; integration enhanced TV and Web learning; and the role of video in distance education. The conference's speakers will include representatives from BBC, Channel 4, Flextech, Sweden's Ministry of Education and many more.

The Cinemagic 2000 Film Festival will be showing seventy of the best films for young people from around the world during their ten day festival which includes lectures, outreach workshops and 6 masterclasses with some of the film industry's top professionals.

The Virtual Reality Conference is geared to bring to light the advantages of virtual reality to a mass market. The conference will focus on the following: what are the uses of virtual reality?; what virtual reality products are currently being manufactured?; what are the key software and design issues within virtual reality?; how is virtual reality being deployed on the Internet?; what opportunities will digital TV offer deployment of virtual environments?; and what are the latest developments in virtual reality research? Speakers will include representatives from BBC Smart Venture, Durham University, Microsoft, ParallelGraphics and many more.

The ANIMATION MAGAZINE Animation Business Marketplace is dedicated to expanding opportunities for professionals working in animation and new media. The conference will have presentations to explain the art, technologies and challenges confronting the industry today. The event gives visitors a chance to interact with other people working in the booming sector of new media and animation.

The 4th Annual Collectibles Business and Gift Executive Conference is a place for executives in the gifts and collectibles market to learn about the newest trends in the industry. The event will feature industry speakers and sales strategy workshops.

The 8th New York Digital Salon is an international juried exhibition of prints, sculptures, interactive installments, performances, animation, digital video and Internet art made with the computer. The jury will pick 85 entries from over 800 applicants to be showcased in the exhibit. After its run in New York, the exhibit plans to tour Europe and Asia. Previously, it has traveled to Milan, Italy; Barcelona, Madrid, Alicante, Valladolid and the Canary Islands, Spain; and Lisbon, Portugal. The event will be kicked off with a reception on November 6 from 6 - 8 pm. The Visual Arts Museum is open Monday - Wednesday and Friday from 9 am to 6:30 pm, Thursday from 9 am to 8 pm and Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm.
