This festival will present films that are ousted from traditional distribution venues and can rarely be seen in movie theaters or on TV, including animation films based on techniques expanding the limits of animation. The program includes East-West meetings; photographic and fine art exhibitions; contemporary, improvised, alternative and folk music concerts; as well as theater, performance and dance works.

The 3D Conference provides four days of in-depth classes focused on the art and technology of 3D. It addresses the needs of professionals using 3D technology in a wide variety of contexts, including entertainment, architecture, engineering, science, medicine, and legal affairs. More than 70 intermediate to advanced classes provide training and instruction in 3D tools and techniques used in animation, modeling, rendering, visual effects, industrial visualization, web design, broadcast and film design, and digital video. The event attracts over 3,000 graphics professionals to its conference program and product exhibition. It will showcase cutting-edge research in non-photorealistic animation and rendering systems and techniques, and present examples of their application in original computer-animated films. Everything from realistic water effects to traditional cel animation work. The focus of the event will be to take a look at the legal terrain of the Web and how it affects producers. In the first session on Friday, the program will define what new media is and how it will affect professionals in production, distribution and ownership. Later on Friday, the discussion will focus on how television programming will be affected by the new medium. The first session on Sunday will center on the field of rights on the Net. Finishing up the event will be a discussion on Internet rules, legislation and territory development.
