Deadline is October 1, 2006. First prize is a trip to Hawaii for the screening of the entries in downtown Honolulu at the soundstage of Elepani Productions. The international jury will judge flipbook entries on Animation, Audio and Imagination. ENTRIES ARE FREE.

Author Mark Simon has announced a Call For Entries for artwork to be featured in the next edition of his best-selling photo reference book, Facial Expressions: Babies to Teens, published by Watson-Guptill.

The competition is open to all styles of art, from sketches, to paintings, to sculpture to animation to CG modeling. Artwork entered in the competition needs to be inspired by the sample reference photos from the upcoming Babies to Teens book which are posted online at www.Expressions-Books.com. Entries may be custom made for the competition or may be commercial projects.

Winners will receive placement of their art in the next Facial Expressions book, Babies to Teens edition and will have their contact information included in the book and posted online. The Scriptapalooza Television Writing Competition going into its 8th year has decided to start accepting reality shows. Scriptapalooza TV has seen two writers win Emmys, one writes for Comedy Central and numerous writers have gotten agents, managers and meetings.

Scriptapalooza TV is accepting submissions and the deadline is Oct. 15, 2006. The four categories include existing one-hour scripts, existing half hour sitcoms, original pilots and reality shows. The entry fee is $40.
