About the Streaming Festival
Films do not play in cinemas. They are streamed online full screen with high image quality.
Just like at a regular film festival, visitors can choose from several programs. However, unlike at a regular film festival, they are able to switch easily between viewing locations.

SCENE Film & Media is hosting an afterwork networking mixer for New York's media, arts and entertainment world. The event brings together professionals from New York's media, arts and entertainment industries for a night of drinks, hors d'oeuvres, networking and conversation, beginning at 6:30 pm. Little Airplane Academy will be conducting an intensive, three-day preschool television workshop. Participants will learn the fundamentals of creating a preschool series from pitching through writing, character design, directing and producing both live action and animated shows.

The 9th edition of International Short Film Festival "Leuven Kort" is a celebration of short cinema. The festival holds an international competition for live-action short films and a non-competitive program for digifilm and music videos. Two prizes will be awarded in the live-action competition: the "Prize of the Audience" and the "Prize of the Jury.

The Writers Guild Foundation has announced its annual summer screenwriting seminar to be held at the Writers Guild headquarters in Hollywood. Scheduled is a special one-day Masters Workshop on the subject of "Writing the Original Screenplay," featuring some of the industry's leading names in screenwriting. Screenwriters scheduled to speak thus far include: Naomi Foner (RUNNING ON EMPTY), Amy Holden Jones (INDECENT PROPOSAL), Dale Launer (MY COUSIN VINNY), Daniel Petrie, Jr. (BEVERLY HILLS COP), Howard Rodman (JOE GOULD'S SECRET), Eric Roth (FORREST GUMP), Tom Schulman (DEAD POETS SOCIETY), Ron Shelton (BULL DURHAM), Audrey Wells (UNDER THE TUSCAN SUN) and Mike White (SCHOOL OF ROCK). Members of Hollywood's executive suites appearing include Mikkel Bondesen of Bondsen-Graup Mgt. (THE O.C.), Maggie Field of Field-Cech Agency, Jenny Fritz of Broder Webb Chervin Silberman Agency, Tarquin Gotch, formerly of John Hughes Ent. (HOME ALONE) and Anne Rodman of Phoenix Pictures (HOLES). Opening and closing panels will take place in the Writers Guild's 120-seat Multi-purpose Room, supplemented by smaller intensive workshops. Topics include: invention and reinvention, a saleable premise, character and action, raising the dramatic stakes, revisions and rewriting, and the always enigmatic getting it made. The sessions will run all day, 9:30 a.m.

These monthly 4-hour Workshops are only $25 per class. Each class will teach you everything you need to build a great foundation in film and video production. You'll learn everything from basic script writing to nonlinear editing, distribution, and more.
